Yes. Now I can go out and buy 100th window.

Now I want to know what the heck is the story behind this. Has someone fouled up big time? Is this another police screw up after the Diana butlers thing? Or was there something that made it an understandable error?

Of course he's innocent. I bought 100th window before the "affair", but I would have bought the album during it. 3d doesn't make that f****ng things.

The same for Pete Townshed. He has composed Baba O' Riley. He has to be a good person.

3-D INNOCENT OF INTERNET PORN OFFENCES

Police have said that an investigation into MASSIVE ATTACK's ROBERT '3-D' DEL NAJA in relation to Internet porn offences will result in no charges.

A statement has been issued to NME.COM by the band's PR that reads: "Avon & Somerset Police have today announced all enquiries relating to the arrest of Robert Del Naja for Internet pornography have been dropped. All property seized in this matter has been returned to Robert Del Naja."

The star was questioned and bailed by Avon & Somerset police in connection with allegations of drug possession and Internet pornography offences.

A spokesperson for the police is currently unavailable for comment.

Detectives seized computer equipment and a quantity of suspected drugs during a raid at Del Naja's home in Bristol last month (February 25). The arrest was made under Avon And Somerset's Operation Ricochet, part of Operation Ore, the national crackdown on child porn.

Del Naja said at the time: "I have never looked at child pornography in my life. I am co-operating fully with the police and I would ask everyone not to judge me prematurely. I have total faith in the justice system."

I don't know how they do things in the UK, but if you guys remember a couple of months ago in the U.S. there was this guy who used to be a weapons inspector in Iraq who was giving the administation a good amount of shit. Well, it turns out, some kind soul found it in his heart to leak sealed court records about a little interlude he had with a minor. I'm not sure the details, but the timing and the smarmyness of it all sure resulted in people giving him alot less creedence. I think this same scenario applies in 3D's case and I also think someone brought it up the other thread.

I'm glad he's innocent. I would have felt mighty ashamed about some of the things I've done to massive attack records if that sort of stuff were true.

and no masturbation jokes, too, I've heard them before =)

We be, I don't know why 3D was suspected of being involved in child porn but I suspect either someone with a grudge against him made a false statement to the police or at some point his credit card was stolen and/or cloned or the card's details were taken and someone else used his credit card details to access a child porn website. At the time of his arrest some people pointed out that 3D is a leading figure in the anti-war movement and his arrest may have something to do with that (i.e. someone wanted to search his computer and an investigation in child porn allegations would give them the opportunity to do so).

Well it was on the local news (though I'm not anywhere near Bristol, I get Bristol TV).

If the cops have fouled up 3d should sue them.

I have less sympathy for Townsend. If he did what he said he did (and I'm inclined to believe his story) he still acted like a total idiot and broke the law.

Dammit, I thought I'd killed this thread with my previous post.

How can I remove the question mark from this thread title? It shouldn't really be there.
