Today (22nd) Man Utd v Fulham kicks off at 12.30 pm. This has happened a lot in recent times so a protest is being organised, including the Fulham fans at Old Trafford, and indeed football fans in general.

Obviously, there are arguments for changing kick off times for particular fixtures, but it seems to be getting out of hand lately. Wonder what football fans on here think?

And just in case anyone's interested enough to object to the whole deal, you can sign an online petition on:

Kick off at 3pm should stay. Meeting up at noon for a few bevvies before the match is great, but starting at 9am would be pushing it a bit, for me anyway.

(not that I've been going to any recently since I've moved! Ah, how I miss Gorgie Road)

Here in Spain kick off's at 5 p.m. Not bad, but i prefer the english style...3 p.m there, 4 p.m in Spain.

its not football, but bristols home games have been moved to sundays for a while now, kick off is at three & its just not the same - you wake up for work on a monday with a hangover & saturday just doesnt seem right when your not going to a game theyve also changed the 6 nations games so they can all be seen on telly & thats wrong too saturday 3pm is the only way.

ps geri - no chance of confusion now with your avatar/name change!

Should definitely be 3.00 on a Saturday afternoon. When we go up the road fer games, we usually have to leave at 7, so we can get to Glasgow for 11/12 when the pubs open (Bairds, Squirrel and London Tavern) a quick 4 or 5 bevvies and into the ground, then it's a mad dash to be back to Corby for 9ish (with a carry out)so we can get to a nightclub, that's if we're not staying with the family in Coatbridge. The 5.35 kick offs that the SPL had last year and the year before because of SKY was a fuckin nightmare.

Our hockey games are at 19h00 each Saturday ;)

Of course, we have 2 or 3 during the week at 19-19h30.

And occasionally, because of the damned US TV, they are in the afternoon...

A game should always be late, so while you're downtown you can stay there and have fun ;)

Ah yes, TV. The curse of the match-going fan.

Going to Manchester in a couple of weeks. Get there on Friday. Probably a serious session on the beer (not that I want to, just want to be sociable!! ;)). Thanks to TV & maybe with a bit of input from the authorities, game kicks off at 12.30. (OK, before anyone points it out, a fixture the following Tuesday is also a factor, but this happens even when midweek games don't come into the equation).

Not complaining as such, but a couple of hours more in bed would be nice. But we're only the ones that help pay player wages & TV subscriptions, so what does that matter?
