There are no tricks - this is a straight forward problem.

NewOrder have a concert that starts in 17 minutes and they must all cross a bridge to get there. All four band members begin on the same side of the bridge. You must help them across to the other side. It is night. There is one flashlight.

A maximum of two people can cross at one time. Any party that crosses the bridge, either 1 or 2 people, must have the flashlight with them. The flashlight must be carried back and forth, it cannot be thrown, etc. Each band member walks at a different speed. A pair must walk together at the rate of the slowest persons pace:

* Hooky: - 1 minute to cross * Steve: - 2 minutes to cross * Gillian or Phil take ya pick! : - 5 minutes to cross * Barney: - 10 minutes to cross

For example: if Hooky and Barney walk across first, 10 minutes have elapsed by the time they get to the other side of the bridge. If Barney then returns with the flashlight, a total of 20 minutes have passed and you have failed the mission.

There is no trick to this. It is a simple movement of resources in the appropriate order. There are two known answers to this problem.

One - throw Neil (?) in and replace him with Phil.

  1. Hooky and Steve cross (2 mins)
  2. Steve returns (4 mins)
  3. Gill and Barney cross (14 mins)
  4. Hooky returns (15 mins)
  5. Hooky and Steve cross (17 mins)

Bingo.

Unfortunately, the stage was left to Barney and Gill for the intro to Crystal and it sounds shite. Jarvis is pelting Kronenbourg cans from row 8.

Reverse the Hooky and Steve movements for the second solution.

Now let's talk prizes . . .

He's gotta point DepthCharge

I was a little bemused at Finsbury as to why Jarvo etc were so far back before they came on, but he assured me there was nothing to worry about.

When Crystal started it was like the parting of the red sea!! BANG right in the middle, right at the front within the first few bars of Crystal!

Jarvo dont mess about when it comes to the Order i can tell ya
