What's on your DVD?

I must confess I was "inspired" to do this by Huntsy. What did you watched lately on your DVD? Here's my list:

AI (haven't yet seen it properly, but looks like a masterpiece so far...) Almodovar's Talk to her (I recommend it. Stunning!) Star Trek: The Motion Picture- Director's Cut ("Director's Cut"? Director's Cut my arse! What a rip-off! All they did was replace some of the -gorgeous- Douglas Trumbull FX from the 1979 cinematic release for some dodgy CGI! Please! Makes you wonder why the Star Trek franchise is going down the drain...) The Mummy returns (good, old-fashioned pop-corn movie. Loved it!) NewOrder 511 (great script! Shame about the dialogue...)

New Order 5 11 is all I have here worth watching...all my good ones are at home.

The last film i watched on my DVD was Usual Suspects which is quite possibly one of the best films of all time.

The film currently in my DVD player at the moment is 8mile, but i havent had time to watch it yet.

The most recent is 24 Hour Party People. I don't have many DVDs. Finsbury Park is on the way.

K-Pax is the best film I've seen for a while. Would recommend it.

It's a sensible drama, i.e. a tearjerker, H., nothing you'd care about :D .

whats the best set of bonus features and extras you've all seen on a DVD?

Perfect Storm features are pretty good - 2 commentaries, trailer, doccos etc. Chow Yun Fat/John Woo - The Killer was the last film I watched in my DVD Player v good

Did buy this disc over the weekend, as it was priced quite reasonably. Great companion piece to the Filth And The Fury documentary, this has interviews with all of the participants still alive, including Jamie Reid, Bill Price, Chris Thomas, and journalists like Jonh Ingham and Charles Young.

Also bought the US Comedy Central show Insomniac compilation as well as Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back (stoopid, but I still laugh at 'em).

i watched the larry clark film 'bully' and 'men in black II' on sunday.

oh, and this evening i sat through a showing of 'the bee gees: one night only' with my mother (her latest purchase). :D

recently:

-This Is Spinal Tap. -The Simpsons: Season Two. -The Cure Greatest Hits. -24 Hour Party People. -Cut (the 2000 slasher movie starring none other than Molly Ringwald! yowza!).

Just watched Children of Paradise last night. With the current state of television, my DVD player is on when I want to watch anything. If it's something short, the Futurama first season is good relief. Alphaville and The Passion of Joan of Arc are next up on my movies to watch list.

24hpp & all the extras die hard & reservoir dogs were last twhree i watched.

getting some new ones on sunday though inc x-men 1.5

Last DVD i watched was of all things "The Man With The Golden Arm" with Frank Sinatra in the lead roll.

well, I have just watched Pretty in Pink....but it is due back tomorrow....so I think I will watch the 24HPP and 511 DVDs that i knicked from Jeffs place

Finally bought 511 a couple of weeks ago, and just picked up that film about Wilco, I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, with a bunch of extras, but I haven't had time to watch that yet.

just saw that Chinese movie Hero. oh my god! one of the most beautiful-looking movies EVER! if you love lush cinematography, this is one to see!

Ah...Suspiria. Nothing says lovin' like Argento movies. Last summer I picked up Suspiria, Deep Red, Opera, Tenebre, Phenomena, and Inferno. Good stuff!

I would get some of the better Woody Allen efforts on DVD if not for the fact there's no extra features (It's like he's not even trying). What else is the DVD format for?

And the subject of my final paper in English 101....which I have put off typing until tomorrow, a day before it's due! (well, we were supposed to do an "arguement" essay that related to our research paper topic, so I can use that as the basic framework for an expanded take. I'm not worried)

Perhaps you should do it whilst impersonating Dr. Strangelove himself (minus the wheelchair, though!)... his mastering of the english language always made me jealous!

Right now i'm watching "Human Traffic", so far, so good, great soundtrack.

bought the "remixed" human traffic, couple of extra scenes in it, enjoyed it.

secretary arrived on dvd this morning from malaysia so guess thats the next one i'm watching!

Watching "Bean", it's okay but nowhere near as good as the TV series or the cartoon series.

"Remixed" Human Traffic? Is that just something over in the UK or can it be found in the US?

"Remixed" Human Traffic? Is that just something over in the UK or can it be found in the US?

no idea if available on region one but it is a slightly extended version with different music tracks, more deleted scenes etc
