my £1.70 blueberry cheesecake roughly the size of a minidisc purchased from "Eat" i wonder to myself,

whats the most extortionate rip off food item you've bought before and where from?

I know sausages aren't exactly the kind of food you mean, but they don't make them over here, and I'm having to pay a fat old english git an awful lot of money just to get me a cooked breakfast ! He actually goes to England once a month and stocks up at Sainsbury's and sells to suckers like me .....

prices for pasties are getting out of hand.

I would imagine somehting from a service station or festival site where they can charge what they like.

$4.50 for a piece of caramel crunch cake at second cup. it just looked so good, i had to have it. another would paying 7 bucks for salad. 4.50 for iced lattes at starbucks.

i paid like $500 for a big mac value meal in lucerne, switzerland a few years back. it was super-sized, but so what.

in greece i paid about £6 for a plate of grass cooked in olive oil. i was unimpressed. i think they translated the menu slightly wrong.

boxes of cereal are outrageously priced nowadays. 6 bucks for a box of Cheerios? that's ridiculous!

Likewise, the UK has Specialised K for about £3.20 (that's about $75 US Dollops).

I mean, how are we meant to eat?
