after watching 'i love the '80s' on VH1, i'm curious. well?

PIP here as well, mostly cause of the music as well I suppose, though I still laugh a lot whenever 16 Candles is on TBS or whatever. Breakfast Club hasn't aged too well with me, I have no desire to ever see it again in my life.

I haven't seen any of them.

Sixteen Candles is SOOOO my favorite. Molly Ringwald at her mopey, pouty and sassy best.

(she's my number one celebrity crush. blush.)

ah, i watched the breakfast club 23 times during the 9th grade.

Out of the three films, Breakfast Club is my fav - as a movie, since I even have it downloaded onto my comp. But, as far as Molly Ringwald goes, I'd have to pick Pretty In Pink, which, the first time when I saw it, when I was in 7th grade, I wasn't a New Order fan, but thought the soundtrack was pretty cool, despite I was a hardcore Smashing Pumpkins fan.

the breakfast club, without a doubt.

the best line in the history of cinema is when bender asks brian why he needs a fake ID. brian replies: 'so i can vote.' genius!

brian can be my neo-maxi-zoom-dweebie any day. :D

such a classic! if i had seen it in ninth grade, i rpobably would have watched it that many times, as well. it's a great high school movie (partially because it, well, takes place in one).

breakfast club without a doubt, although whenever the other half and i discuss names for our future daughters, the line 'fat girls name' comes up.

I watched TBC at least 40 times... not to mention that Ferris Bueller's Day Off has passed the 100 views long time ago... I still know all its dialogues (in both English and Portuguese version)

Those were weird times. Thank God I quit this teen-movies addiction.

I watched TBC at least 40 times... not to mention that Ferris Bueller's Day Off has passed the 100 views long time ago... I still know all its dialogues (in both English and Portuguese version)

i picked pretty in pink, not entirely because of new order's tracks in the film, but because of the scene where ducky attacks james spader then pelts down the hall and rips the banner down that was a gripping scene!!!!

ah, yes. john cusack--i've always been rather fond of him (especially in 'say anything' ). in fact, my last boyfriend looked quite a bit like him...

john cusack is a very watchable actor, we were discussing this in work t'other day

apart from american sweethearts he aleways seems to pick interesting films, some of his more recent roles tend to be a bit similar (cf grosse point blank with pushing tin) but if he is in a film you know its going to be intelligent (con air is recent exception proving the rule)

Moley Ringpiece didn't do anything for me, but I did quite enjoy Pretty in Pink.

that was just for the movie...in the book, she did pick the Duckster...

well, they should have left it as is. i don't know anyone who was rooting for blaine. duckie was cool--he wore excellent vests and hats, and blaine...was named blaine. plus, you just knew duckie listened to new order and the smiths, while blaine was jamming to bryan adams in his delorean.

this is why 'some kind of wonderful' was a superior film. same plot, only eric stoltz goes off with drummer girl at the end instead of amanda jones. and amanda was cool about it, too.

i love the scene in Pretty In Pink where Duckie is sitting in his room, listening to Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths.

SOOOOO fabulous and right on.

yet of course still very sad. :(
