Just wanted to share something with you all, one of my best mates died last week and was buried yesturday. He was the person who first played me and introduced me to Joy Division/New Order, some thing that i will be eternally gratefull to him for now and forever. A song from each group was played at the funeral and reminded me of our little escapades in following 'The Best Band' ever, times i will cherish, doing acid at Oxford 86', again in Finsbury 87,getting pissed and stoned many, many times, setting up our own 'Live Bootlegs' (which was called 'Ecstasy Recordings') and selling them down at Camden Market, waiting for the next release like a pair of school-kids, boring the pants off no belivers and loving it when other 'like-minded' people knew the score. I just wanted to say Jack... Respect always.
My Mate Jacko.

Well put fella.
My friend, Andy, committed suicide about 4 weeks ago. He was a Duran Duran friend of mine and they played some stuff at his funeral.
Its amazing how music can say the things we find hard to put into words.

Sorry to hear that.I too have just lost a friend from work and am feeling pretty down.Life goes on but sometimes things just get a little too much.Remember the good times you had though which will help you get through this. Sad Mick
Very sorry to hear about that, I too had a friend that I have inextricably linked with New Order, who also passed on in rather tragic circumstances. Hopefully, the good memories will shine through soon, as they do for me now. :(
Losing someone close to you through death is always tough, it's hard to put into words what they mean to you. My sympathies to you.
Even pets are tough to lose, one of my grandfather's favorite dogs was hit by a car about a week ago and was so hurt she had to be put to sleep. We've had her for about ten years, so it's been wierd going around the old Seigler homestead and not seeing her lying around somewhere.
again, my sympathies to you....
sorry to hear about your friend, mate. i lost a friend, who was 4 months pregnant, in a car accident a few months back, and i'm still trying to get my head around it. these things really put life into perspective, don't they?
the next time i play the order, it'll be for jack. and for you.
Sorry to hear that Dufford.
You've got me wondering now. Which songs?
People here have said they'd have Atmosphere at their funeral, or whatever, but nobody's gone and died yet to prove their point! Which tracks did Jacko have?

Cheers, life is shit sometimes but it goes on and us with it.
Al' the songs were 'Round & Round' and 'LWTUA' not my choices but still reminded me of him. Regards.
