here are some of the highlights from April 26 throughout the years!!!

On April 26, 1986, the world's worst nuclear accident occurred at the Chernobyl plant in the Soviet Union. An explosion and fire killed at least 31 people and sent radioactivity into the atmosphere. On this date:

In 1865, John Wilkes Booth, the assassin of President Lincoln, was surrounded by federal troops near Bowling Green, Va., and killed.

In 1937, planes from Nazi Germany raided the Basque town of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War.

In 1980, following an unsuccessful attempt by the United States to rescue the U.S. Embassy hostages in Iran, the Tehran government announced the captives were being scattered to thwart any future rescue effort.

In 1989, actress-comedian Lucille Ball (news) died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at age 77.

Five years ago: Auxiliary Bishop Juan Gerardi Conedera, a leading human rights activist in Guatemala, was bludgeoned to death two days after a report he'd compiled on atrocities during Guatemala's 36-year civil war was made public.

One year ago: Robert Steinhaeuser, an expelled student, went on a shooting rampage at a school in Erfurt, Germany, killing 17 people, including himself.

SEE NOTHING GOOD HAPPENED ON THIS DAY!!!

yes...i forgot to add that headline as well...

"on this date in 1969, the world's biggest twat ever was birthed in an outhouse in Dallas. Jeff went on to immortal fame as the flaming idiot that managed to lose his wallet, cash, passport, credit cards, fags, camera and knapsack somewhere between the Chandos and the embankment. Thank God the lucky sot had left his New Order ticket at the hotel, or he would have been pissed!":Thumb:

Hey Grigori, I don't think you wanna spend 300+ dollars on a lower level seat for the Celtic/ManU match, do ya? Third level seats are going for about 100 dollars, does that sound good to you. Are you still bringing a friend?
