Just seen it on DVD. Somewhere between alright and shite. Nice bit of Joy Division at the party (LWTUA).
Anyone else seen it? Don't believe the hype ![]()

Yeah, I rented it almost 18 months ago, my bird bought it because she loved it.
It's not bad, but I never really found it THAT good, and I didn't get everything first...
Not the type of movie to watch when you're tired...!

Not the type of movie to watch again zing!
i liked it - i definitely didn't love it, but i dug it. it featured some ace music (i'm primarily referring to LWTUA, of course), though. i admit that i would love to see it again; there's a lot i didn't toally grasp the first time around.
Yeah, I saw it quite a while ago. I'd read a review of it in the NY Times and some people compared it to John Hugues meets David Lynch, so I was definitely down for it. Anyway, I didn't even know LWTUA was on the soundtrack until a friend of mine (who had just watched it) came running down the hall of my dorm and had to show me. Very nicely done, I must say. The whole soundtrack is quite good, but a really weird mix of stuff. So, I thought it was pretty good, but I agree that it isn't the sort of movie you could watch a bunch. I would like to see it again though.
