Last week I bought a DVD: Pet Shop Boys -- Montage (The Nightlife Tour). Took it home and after a rough day it was the perfect windown...and there's no bloody disc inside. So I took it back and got it replaced....

Of course this disc doesn't work properly and needs to be taken back. Got that one replaced, took the new one home and....it doesn't work at all!

Ended up getting my money back but just wondering an I the only cd/dvd tragic out there who has had this happen? Please comfort me someone suffering similar fate....

Dustin, a while ago we decided to celebrate the Bank Holiday with a special film viewing night resplendent with bowls of snacks, the new Dairy Milk chocolate bar with Crunchie bits (excellent) and an infinite supply of Pepsi Max, refrigerated to below -36.

As the day drew on we were fighting a losing battle with the sun, our day time BHoliday fare and the fact our BlockBottler closes at 10pm sharp. Anyways, we finally made it after putting in place our various bowls of fruit. We carefully selected a real belter of a film and returned homeward to settle in our own nests.

We placed the Power Surround System on, closed the curtains and made ourselves extremely comfortable.

Unfortunately we had hired the same film a few months previous and the whole night was a washout as a result - as BlockBunter had shut for their own sakes.

I hope this is some comfort to you. We were equally distressed and to this day, we always remember to try and remember to see if we can remember if we've already seen the film before we decide to hire it out for a night.

Montage is a cool DVD. What happened to you has happened to others, so don't feel alone. Maybe if you try ordering online?

Mmmmmmmmmm! are these a new phenomena Cadburys have unleashed on the unsuspecting gp?

Also, Pepsi Max is very nice.

Pepsi-Max is the stuff of legend. This beverage and this beverage alone can quench a mans thirst like no other. Also, a ladies thirst if she has excelled.

Dairy Milk alone is a bit too much, left best for cooking purposes (I'm talking the 'big' bars - the little miniatures are cock-on). But let me tell you, the new variety is superb. The added 'crunchie' (i.e. the crunchie bar) bits break up the mass of chocolate to deliver a constantly refreshing piece of stomach settler. Be warned, it is very addictive. Good tip, allow to chill in freezer approx. 1 hour before sampling.

Of note, the company Cadbury's are going to re-name themselves 'Dairy Milk' and proceed to re-name all of their top sellers. This is fact. One choccy is going to be re-titled 'Bubbles' but I can't remember which one.

Will we ever be the same again?

a few years back, i bought 'the saint' soundtrack in new york, flew back to colorado where i was living, and unwrapped the CD, only to find the jewel case empty. as i was now 2000 miles from the point of purchase there was really no point doing anything about it, as that would have involved nearly as much money as the cost of the CD and more energy than i was willing to expend.

i bought the CD again in denver and promptly lost it several months later. last year, while going through my CD collection, i found it again, doubled up with another CD. five years had passed.

I also heard rumours and WISPAS that a certain chocolate bar was to be renamed Bubbles.... They are also renaming Turkish Delight and wait for it...

Cadburys Caramel... oooh the shock, the horror, the cartoons adverts containing disturbing sexual animated undertones of times gone by....

Dont do it Cadburys we urge you!

Here is the melted proof chocolatelovers

Pepsi Max is nice, very very nice.

And so it came to pass. I am now already a part of the new Cadbury marketing campaign having snaffled Dairy Milk Crunchie Bits and That.

Let me tell you, I like it already.

Never had anything tragic happen to me, though I suspect some other unlucky purchaser of Bart Simpson's Deep, Deep Trouble CD single went away unhappy, as the copy I have has two discs inside.

I bought a 2-disc set of Dario Argento's Deep Red and Tenebre last summer and, though it was used, it was supposed to be in perfect condition. However, one of the movies was skipping and barely worked so I complained to where I bought it from (half.com) and they refunded all my money. The good thing was, one of the discs still worked and I didn't have to return the DVDs, so I basically got a free movie. sometimes it all works out (kinda) for the best....

I've had bad luck getting NO bootlegs from this grizzled old hippie (actually he can't be more than 40, but that's old enough to me!) who runs a record store nearby. Every time I get something and bring it home, something messes up and I have to return it. I can't hlep but wonder if he's got a souped-up player in his store, just to fool gullible desperates like meself to purchase what might otherwise be revealed as shoddy crap. Then again, my system is fairly old, so it could be time to invest in a new system (two or three years seems to be the magic number with my stereos, I wear them down quickly).

My first copy of Heart and Soul came with a glaring sliver of plastic hanging off the bottom of Disc Two, and this somehow rendered unlistenable "SLC" and Atmosphere. I had to return it, only to find that, from time to time, the third disc would possibly mess up during the Peel version of Colony. However, I decided a little skip here and there was okay (as all discs eventually develop a little skip, so it seems) and decided not to press my luck.

But here's one that'll cut to the heart of any NO fan:

A few years ago, some godawful twisted fucker ripped me off on a copy of 316 on Ebay. Thinking it was the original, I paid like $10 for this tape and then both the Taras part and the interview part at the end were out of synch by at least a whole second!! And the filthy bastard kept sending me emails to give him positive feedback since he'd shipped it so promptly--which, being an idiot, I did before I'd even gotten the tape and found out it was defective since I really didn't consider that a posibility. Then the prick didn't reply to my complaints and neither Ebay or Paypal did jackshit about it. If I ever find out where that dirty little fucker lives, I'm going to firebomb his house!!

ahhhh...that felt good to get out. Yes sir, I learned quite a few lessons on that little transaction. Thus was the story of the first video I bought off Ebay.

Still no Rio on DVD. I think it's still available as individual MPEGs and MP3s on Marcin's site. That's how I got it. DAMN the "Can You Forgive Her?" part is HOT!!!!!

Once I bought the "How can you expect to be taken seriously" single from the Pet Shop Boys... back home I put it in the CD player and it was a country album!!!!!!!!

They were all like that!!

So I got Behavious instead... ;)
