A David Bleedin` Beckham Poll

Now, I cant stand David Beckham (mainly for the fact that he is SO under the thumb its not funny). But, speaking as a football fan, I truly believe he ought to bugger off abroad, at least for a couple of seasons anyway.

I`d say the Spanish League is probably marginally a better place to go than Serie A (anyone who keeps insisting that the Premiership is No.1 needs to wake up & quit being so jingoistic). The Gormless Dork of Manchester would soon have his over-rated skills tested at Madrid or Barca (then again, if Steve McManaman can survive there, anyone can)

Hopefully a move to the continent would mean we wouldnt have to put up with him & Victorias moronic-looking faces in the tabloids every day. Then again, maybe Beckhams death would be the only way that would ever happen. And even then wed have to endure a televised Diana/Queen Mum-style state funeral first.

I hope Manchester United or another English club sign Henrik Larsson this summer. That man is wasted pissing about in the Jock`s Division....

Why do people who havent heard of David Beckham bother posting messages in ere? Every time theres a thread about some obscure Yank or whoever, I dont waste my time by asking "Whos So-&-So?", especially if I dont give a shiny shite about the topic, as a couple of you obviously dont re: Beckaroonie.

Not to digress any longer: on the news last night Davey Boys daddy was saying that he belives Beckham will not leave Old Trafford, but then in the papers this morning, reports suggest Alex "Gum-Chewing Parasite" Ferguson is sick of Becks self-promotion & is now desperate to flog his arse. I just can`t wait for this saga to end now (preferably ending with him buggering off to the Continent, admittedly)

Poor little Daid Beckham. I can still see him seated in the waiting room at our office wearing a baseball cap and looking rather nervous. He was buying his first house. It was actually only about 200 yards away from my house and I still drive past it several times a week. His original curtains are still up although he no longer owns it. He was a nice boy in those days although when he dumped Julie who went on to become Phil will tear you aparts wife she kicked holes in the internal walls in the house causing a fair bit of damage. David was a high maintenance character and a friend of mine helped him out with such things as going round to his house to show him how to empty the washing machine and dashing to the airport to give him his passport he had left at home. Posh soon persuaded him to move out of the area but not before she was seen shopping in the Co-op for faggots. David should stay so as to keep the media from picking on less deserving characters.

the worst insult ever received: 'you look like David Beckman' when I got home from a trip to the hairdresser. Luckily he changes his hairdo every month and I don't ...

I've heard that story about David Beckham before! Bless him!! Anyway he loves the attention and so does his other half, if no one mentioned them they always do something to get noticed. Posh will be loving all this media attention.

Personally, I hope the lad stays, I think he's class. But IF he does go, United WILL carry on without him, they've managed having lost better (& more - 1995 anyone?) players, so "bye-bye Man. Utd." is a bit premature. And IF he goes, I honestly doubt it'll be to Barca. He'll probably end up at Real (with Wenger as his new boss?? )

By the way: It would be nice to be able to vote twice so I could combine my Stay @ United choice with the Divorce Yoko option!;)

I read today in the wonderfully accurate Philadelphia Inquirer that Beckham has already switched over to Barcelona. The article, since I skimmed it, was mostly about how Man U and Barcelona will both be playing in Philadelphia.

He hasn`t quite signed for Barca yet, mate, it still depends on personal terms, whether that guy becomes President etc etc....

If Manchester Utd flog Beckham & manage to sign Harry Kewell & Ronaldinho, then I`m afraid Arsenal will have an even more disappointing season than the last one....

I know it's not quite a done deal, but I can at least be pretty goddamn sure becham is not returning; than God. Other than Arsenal I like Leeds; I just hope Man Utd. just does not win

I personally think Beckham should quit football now and go and dye his skin black or something - do a reverse Michael Jackson just to really milk the headlines for all its worth.

now that he's settled with two children and has set aside a few pounds i think he should retire, release a vanity album of cover ballads (which will sell out immediately at woolies), and appear on 'they think it's all over' occasionally to keep up his profile as a 'sportsman.'

perhaps he can take up darts. he's a lot easier on the eyes than that fat dude with the really long mullet from plumstead.

I think he should try to milk every penny he can as long as he maintains his health; hell that's what I would do if I were Beckham
