Mozpot Last Night

Aye, I saw it, it was a top documentary. He`s a reasonable likeable guy is Moz, but his objects of hatred, though I fully agree with, are rather predictable. The Royal Family, Tony Blair & Elton John? Easy targets, Moz!

'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' has to be one of the best songs EVER. Even the Divine Comedy`s version was good!

Did anyone see the repeat of that Football Stories: Bad Boys XI after the Moz programme? With those two, plus Six Feet Under, that was over three hours of blindin telly! Proves that when Channel 4 arent hung up hyping up shite like Big Brother, they can occasionally deliver the goods....

Having recently read the extensive report on Moz man in the mag. 'Word', this documentary seemed to echo the entire article. Maybe made by the same people at the same time?

Either way, was it just me, or was this an attempt to secure a record contract? - I do hope somebody was watching with some coin and clout in the biz.

If he doesn't gain a footing soon with which to release Lionheart I'm going to have to put sixty cdr's in an envelope with a few jewel cases and dispatch to 'Moz, LA' - with a tenner for a promo Jack Daniels on the strip.

Thought I read somewhere that a record contract was secured a few days ago?

By all accounts Gazza is a nice chap. And I did myself waltz down to the Riverside to greet him upon signing for the greatest team around Middlesbrough town centre.

His unfortunate wife incidents leave a lot to be desired. I'm pegging it down to his limited mental capacity, rather than him being nasty. Either way I'd be lying if I didn't admit how much Italia '90 meant in our house ... most notably the actions of Mr. Gastro.

Shuntzfield, I'm not sure if big M is a shirt lifter. He seems to have that cute lisp on his voice which is usually a give away. It wouldn't really matter though would it, the only downside is that if it was unearthed that he enjoyed gentleman of the cloth, then we would have to mention him in the same breath as The Pet Shop Shirtlifters ... and that's not fair on anyone.

Let us speak more of this 'record signing' I've heard so much about ...

On the Mozzer/Smiths thing ... I've been a long-term fan so I've been posting mainly to acquire info. on his latest album, and what stage its at.

The New Order/Smiths line is long-standing Al. Must confess, when I also saw him fairly recently the place was hardly packed to the rafters. Think I've got a few live tapes with The Schmidtz on one side and NO on the other! (can't remember the gig but they played Shellcocker ... that's NO mind).

Quality television...Moz is surely without doubt the greatest pop star this country has ever produced. The best gig I've...ever! been to was to see the Mozmeister last year at the Barras, it was absolutely electric.

And, for your information, it's been announced in the last couple of weeks that he has signed to Sanctuary.

Amazing how even this thread veers wildly off topic into discussing fat useless past-it footballers and wife beating antics.

Bet Mozza would be chuffed.

As mentioned just above by Graeme, he HAS now signed a new record deal - with Sanctuary Records - the number of albums undisclosed at present....... last night's programme was, if anything, Morrissey being his typical enigmatic self - saying nothing really much in a very roundabout sort of way - preferring to let his close colleagues, friends and associates do the work of giving away any clues as to what really lies beneath his impenetrable cloak of mystique.

It promised a lot of exclusive insights but at the end of it it left the viewer somewhat short of any real substance.

That's Morrissey for you then - inscrutable and evasive to the very last. What a star.

(Can't help but notice that the rest of his body is now catching up with his chin in the throes of middle age......it's beginning to recede somewhat)

As for Gascoigne, has he actually done anything since that McDonalds TV ad about a year ago? Where does he play now, China, isnt it? Good move for Gascoigne, hell be sorted for sweet `n sour chicken balls & egg fried rice now!

I think if they do another Bad Boys XI programme in 5 or 10 years time, bastards like Woodgate, Bowyer & Terry may stand a chance of being in it. Those thugs are so awful, they make Scotsmen seem pleasant! 😂

This latest Moz news is top dog. Who are these Sanctuary people? - they are good folk.

Has 'Irish Snail, English Garden Worm' been recorded at a reputable music studio as yet ,or does the Monkey have to book an hour on Sunday afternoon?

I read something in the weekend paper that Morrissey has signed to a predominantly reggae label called Attack(?) which is a bit bizarre as they've dragged up an old quote where he said "All reggae is vile" which was probably a flippant comment as he seems to know a lot about the genre.

It was quite a good documentary but only really because we haven't heard from him for ages. He really hasn't changed a bit in 20 years. He would be ideal for a Louis Therroux interview but it will never happen. Always great to see Sparks - they're bonkers.
