Any of you guys remember The Beloved Peel session back in 86?. Tracks were: A Hundred Words, The Flame, Idyal and A Beutiful Waste Of Time. I remember myself and Friends were blown away with it.Comparable with New Order/Cure at their best.
I lost my tape, anyone have it?

Notebooks out, plagiarists. I've got their complete collection, including several unreleased demo tracks and dozens of live gigs, that were sent me by the band.

No probs, I'll see if I can dig it out.
I never got the early stuff (saving pocket money for new order releases!!!!) but got a compilation vinyl compile around 86ish - white with B&W photo & light blue text(?)/blue block stripe - can't dig it out due to distance but perhaps worth trawling for if avail...

Err....that's the new Beloved, Julio. The old one did things with guitars and sounded like a band rather than a twee sugar-coated scheissberg.

Non Julio, one Beloved only. They changed styles in the late eighties from guitars to synths.
They made some sucess in Brazil.They were compared with New Order,Erasure and Pet Shop Boys by the press here in Brazil. I like their Happiness album.As I said here Found and I Love you more are great songs.

Not yet - found all the demos etc and loads of gigs, but can't find Peel #1. It'll turn up, it's 20 mins on the end of a New Order gig somewhere, but with the best part of 500 tapes that fit into that category, split over two locations 150 miles apart, it may take a while to locate !!! I'll let you know when it does turn up.
