don't even go there, man. excuse me while i go take a diazepam.

seriously, i've woken up hyperventilating from math-related nightmares. it's truly horrifying. although, strangely enough, i can still recite the quadratic equation from memory without becoming distressed.

Deep water mostly, seeing as I can't swim at all. The biggest one that most of the people I know have is that of flying, which doesn't bother me in the least.

I suppose needles would bother me if I let them enter my mind, but I just look the other way while the nurse does her duty, and think to myself that there a lot of people in the history of the world who have undergone worse than that.

I don't know, I actually see where the more sensible libretatians are coming from (gov't shouldn't be some big behemoth, etc). But there are shitheads on each side of the political spectrum, so that's why I'm a Fascist! :D

Besides, it's Republicans who killed Bambi's mother (NRA gun-loving nuts!)

libertarians are pro-gun, too, don't forget!

as for my fear of them, i think it stems from the first libertarian i knew: doug kern. he was a high school classmate of mine, and while he was a nice lad, something about him was a bit odd, in a 'damien' kind of way.

so then, what the fcuk is it?

N.B. i just did a google search and read a definition of this 'math-rock' and i still have no idea what the hell it is. perhaps it's because 'math-related' words were used. you see, i don't 'do' math (see agentwood's phobias, page one of this thread).

My phobias:

  1. Flying insects
  2. Needles
  3. Maths
  4. Failure's consequences

  1. Stinging flying insects
  2. Cement walls when in car :D
  3. Speach in public
  4. Errors done when speaking english
  5. The feeling of not being home, when I am home.

Actually, I can handle #3, but I'm seriously nervous on a stage and don't really like it. #4 is something that stops from from calling places in english and other stuff where I need to speak english, don't know why, I think I am quite good at it, but I hate having to use english.. altough recent experience shows that once I'm passed this stage, I don't have any problem at all, and it gets natural..

Don't know why, beeing surrounded by people speaking something else than your tongue is not an experience I like that much, but I get use to it.

As for #5 goes, I think it's linked with #4, I'm not cumfortable with people from a different culture because of a fear to either look stupid or do something stupid, it's not xenophobia at all, but it's something I have to work on, and should work on with travels & stuff. I have no problem with foreigners adapted to our culture here, but for some reason, I just don't like it when I see people not showing any adaptation signs to our culture and our country in the streets.. this is probably a phobia of losing our culture and home, don't know why.. this doesn't offend me when I travel though!

Don't get me wrong, it's probably just a phobia of losing our little french country over here to the "english" vast majority all around us, nothing more...

it is the some of the most obnoxious music on the face of the planet, designed to pummel your ears with constant time changes, poly-rhythmic cycles, and some of the most stacato guitar parts to date. the only band name i know, that is associated with the sound, is the locust. they aren't "pure" math rock, since they incorperate death metal into their overall sound, but the time signature changes are spot-on.

In all honesty, I fear moths. Not so much them, but touching them. They fall apart if you touch them. Ugh, disgusting.
