so many memories...

& the techniques - counting for the spaceship to ensure maximum points, ghosting (letting them get to the bottom row as they couldnt drop bombs then)

back when arcade machines cost 10p a go

course i always preferred asteroids myself.

Memories indeedy - My Uncly John had the Atari, and used to bring it down ours, hours of fun for all the family......and constant arguments about whose shot next it was:lol:

This computer is slow as fuck, but I will definitely try this game out at the weekend.

Well done Timbo.

Mmmm, slightly dodgy link but it's on there somewhere. And it's a very accurate version.

I had an Atari 400, then an 800XL. Happy days.

Did everyone else have endless pointless arguments with other kids at school as to whose computer was the best? There were 2 of us with Ataris, 3 with Spectrums, 2 with Amstrads, 1 with a Commodore 64. Atari's games were pricier than most and I was jealous of Spectrum kids buying more for their money, oh but the quality. Glad Atari came out of it the coolest in retrospect. After all there's 3 bands with Atari in their name now aren't there. I wear my retro Atari t-shirt with pride. Cool iconic logo.

I had an Odissey. Loved to ply "Pick the axe, Pete" - known in Brazil as "Didi na mina encantada"...

cbm 64 with its advanced sprite graphics

you tell kids today it took 15 minutes to load a game & they think you're mad.

Musta been a 128 if it only took 15 mins to load !! I used to love Jack Charlton's Match Fishing on the Speccy, and the Player Manager series on the Atari ST. Still playable now !
