Hi everyone

I´ve got some .avi videos in my pc and cannot watch them using my windows media player.I use windows XP here,can someone tell me which programme can I use to watch those videos compatible with windows XP ?

Vc terá problemas com arquivo .avi pois " O compressor necessário não pôde ser encontrado ".

It's kinda weird. AVIs traditionally were only viewable on a pc, and now you have to download an APPLE program to view it?

Yes,Mike.It´s very strange. When I had Windows Millenium I could watch it but when I changed to XP most of my videos and mp3 don´t function here anymore :(

Well, I'm using QuickTime to open AVI files, maybe because after installing this application it took control over some extensions.

Your system is all fooked up, Julio. Format your hard disk and install everything again. ;)

I had that problem before. Someone told me to download a DIVX player, which would apparently play any .avi files. I've had problems playing .avi files on Quicktime, but most, with the exception of a few episodes of Gravitation that needed an MPEG4 (or something like that), .avi files can be played with one. Any p2p program like kazaa or Morpheus should have such a program.

I think the reason is the fucking windows xp.I also tried at my cousin´s computer and it´s same(he also uses xp).

I only use my PC to test cd-roms and websites I made. It still has window 98 on it. I've never used XP, but from what I've heard, it's giving a lot of people problems. Even this IT guy i work with, who is a dedicated PC user, told me not to upgrade my system to XP. Strange.

It´s true Mike.Experient computer users tell the same,98 is still the best.ME,2000 and XP are 3 sh**.

go to divx.com and download the newest codec/player. it should hopefully do the trick.
