I've seen in another thread that PIP does Scuba Diving, any other Onliner indulges in this? I am open water diver (that's the lowest form of life known to divers)

We once had a fish tank, I say tank it was more of a golfish bowl.

I'm an SSI certified open water diver. Try to go every year but alas nothing in 2003 (yet). Have dived in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, ambition is to spend a week in the Maldives.

Nic - can we get a scuba smilie set up?

I've been diving for 8 years and I'm a PADI rescue diver, but don't spread this around as I'm not sure if I actually can rescue anybody.

As I said in another thread, I'm planning to dive in Fernando de Noronha in October, the best dive spot in Brazil and also considered one of the best ones the world. Anyone fancy a dive? ;)

:diversmilie:

What do you mean with "there's no diver smilie"? :p

I grew up watching those undersea documentaries on the Discovery Channel and dreamed of being a marine biologist, so diving was always something I wanted to do but never did. Too expensive a hobby to get into.

I've been known to go muff diving every now and then...does that count for anything?

there are 2 types of divers....those that pee in their suits and those that lie about not peeing in them

when the water is cold and it hits your kidneys....there just is no stopping it....god bless the person who invented dry suits for cold water diving :thumb:

trust me she not, but it is true about the peeing in the wet suit, personally i dont because i dont want it to stink up the suit.

The funnest thing i ever saw was a diver doing some dry suit training. after the guy had gotten out of the water from the dive was telling his instructor that he thinks theres a leak in the suit. the instructor said hmm thats odd that a brand new suit, so the guy gets out and then the instructor takes the suit and turns it upside down and a stream of yellow liquid came out, he looks at the diver and goes a leak in the suit  then diver fessed up to doing peeing in the suit. it was some funny stuff to watch, i died laughing

Is Costa Brava tropical enough!

I have dived in Malta and in Key West (this was two years ago and I am still impressed!) I have also dived in Southampton but the best bit was the Burger Trailer selling hot cocoa when you got out of the near freezing water.

So Ricardo, what about a NOOL Scuba Diving week in Brazil, it's nearly as flimsy as following Man Yoo to Seattle and could be even funnier (and news is Mr. Sumner may be sailing round there!)

A thread about peeing, now it's looking like NOOL again. :D

PIP is right about peeing in the suit. Although I had never pissed in my suit (there's a bit of contradiction here), that's why you must own a dive suit and never wear a rented one.

The woman just ADMITTED that she dons tight-fitting rubber suits and then proceeds to pee in them!
