McDonalds, Friend of Foe.

A show screened on the UK last night highlighted the current plight of McDougals fast-food restaurant, currently quaking in its clown shoes after current testing on lab rats (free the lab mice) is suggesting that humans could get hooked to the tasty burgers and frittlers, in the same way a drug user becomes keen on mustard. In this situation, over indulgence from certain obese people are provoking American lawyers to come running to help. And now armed with the 'addiction' hook, McDougal's could suffer in the same way as some of the baccy companies with large payouts to disgruntled customer bases.

The options to McD's are - curtail the fat and sugar, introduce more natural good healthy products, or get rid of Raymond McDougal the Clown (which wipes the entire slate clean). McD's have already set to work, introducing fresh salads in little plastic containers, packets of fruit and less fat and sugar in the chips and burglars.

The thing that I can't get my head around is why McDunky Dibblers has been singled out? - what about Chinese takeaways, pizzas, eggs, smoked haddock and the common bread roll? - surely if you stick it to McD's, you must also stick it to the Colonel with his especially pleasant recipes.

But more fundamental is this, won't a sensible judge simple throw the argument out of court within 2.3 seconds? - Fatty, stop eating shit and take a walk.

It seems very simple.

At what level of fatness do you get a pay out? - its ridiculous.

Dear me, H, you know how I hate to disagree with you, but on this general subject I do. The D.C. city council is considering requiring disclosure of calories, fat, sodium, etc. on all restaurant menus for companies with 10 or more restaurants. Would you oppose that?

McD's is getting the attention only because it's the biggest.

Fat and sugar as addictive as heroin and cocaine? It wouldn't surprise me, but i'm not prepared to start shoving dangerously unhealthy food down my throat while mainlining heroin and snorting coke to find out. I hope Macca's and the other big food chains get sued out of business.

Mc Rat and all that kind of fast food restaurants are a shit: chinese food, pizzas,... I don't why but everytime I have some of that kind of food I get sick, so there has to be some very very bad substance in that food that maybe I don't know, sticks in the stomach or something, and then... :barf: The hamburguers of my mum are much better and don't make me sick!!

fat and sugar are as addictive as good music, nice clothes, and money, they are all things we like, so we continue our pursuit of these things. They are not as addictive as heroin and cocaine, and any ruling against fat and sugar content should fizzle and lose

Salads in little plastic containers? MickeyD's hasd that in the US about 3 years ago and it completely fizzled, since no one really wants to eat salad from a cup.

I agree that you should see what your getting, i.e. a Gigantic Whopper Jumbo Sausage Mark II with Full Blown Onions = 9 million grams of sodium trombone.

However, the point I think is being missed is that so many things are bad for us, so where do you start? - and where do you end?

Surely too much of a good thing is bad for us, and too many bad things are good for ourselves. Too many cooks spoil the broth, and not many onions to go please on my side burgers.

I say fat people who really stick it in 6 and 7 times and hour should maybe think to jog around the block like J-Soap and Ben Antler, rather than try to bring down Clown Shoes McDougle and his DC Douglas.

Are Raymond McDonald's clown shoes made of onions? - can I file for compensation if they are?

But you don't even eat burgers, do you, H?

And why such concern for McD's? Isn't BK much better?

And what's wrong with onions?

BK? :barf: It's probably just me, but I have really bizarre memories from hanging around the BK across the street from my high school when I was 16. I don't think I've been able to drink a fast food vanilla milkshake since then.

wendy's put large, polynesian raft-shaped lettuce leaves on their burgers, providing roughage and a good source of vitamins.

unfortunately, they also charge extra for cheese and put tomatoes on the burgers. you can remove the hideous tomatoes, but charging extra for the dairy necessity is ludicrous.

I think if yer gonna eat processed cow, at least ya deserve to be informed what part of the cow you are eating. Nobody knows what's in those things!!!

Leastways with the likes of pizza 'n' chips, you know there ain't no bad part of cheese, no bad part of peppers (pepperoni though is a whole other story), no bad part of potatoes, no bad part of dough, etc.

I'll confess to having bought a McDonnell-Douglas F16 Fighter-Burger last week, took one bite and had to throw the rest of the thing away. It was that gross.
