your most overplayed LP

what is the one slab of vinyl you've practically worn thin, but refuse to get rid of? have you bought it on CD in attempt to prevent further deterioration?

mine's "the magical mystery tour" and i still don't own it on CD.

Since I need a new stylus for my deck, I haven't been playing much of the vinyl albums lately. But before that unfortunate incident, the LP I played most was probably Upstairs at Eric's by Yaz(oo), Substance, Violent Femmes' self-titled, and The Cure's Boys Don't Cry.

Robert Plant's Now and Zen and Led Zeppelin's Presence.

Fortunately I've got all JD/NO, except for Movement, on cd as well now so the vinyl will stay preserved. In another 30 odd years time my kids will be putting them for sale on eBay most likely! They'll never appreciate the vinyl like we do...

Most played album (as in vinyl) - "Crocodiles" by Echo and The Bunnymen.

Closely followed by "The Man Machine" - Kraftwerk

Most played vinyl LP: Unknown Pleasures.

Each track now crackles very nicely when it plays, particularly New Dawn Fades. Interestingly, my copy has "Outside" and "Inside" labelled the wrong way round on the disc. Any rareity value anyone?

Spacemen 3 - The Perfect Prescription.

Two vinyl copies totally worn out, a CD copy that circulates around my friends on semi-permanent loan and another fairly bashed about CD copy, as well as a whole raft of demos, alternate versions and out-takes.

Still an utterly sublime life-changing experience after all these years.

The Triffids album Born Sandy Devotional, US issue. I know it's out on CD, but I still won't ever part with this beauty.
