Another band that has put out some good stuff, it's time for Shriekback, Barry Andrews, formerly of XTC, band. Not sure of any other person, except for probably Robyn Hitchcock, who would rhyme nemesis and parthenogenesis. Dave Allen, ex-Gang Of Four bassist who now resides in Portland, was also on board for a long time; very good live as well.

it isn't that i don't like the bands, i just think they have silly names. and as for what my mom called me when i was a kid, it was just "seanie" or "seanboy." i have no idea what a tattiescone is...
to eveyone else: i don't see any f*ckin' band names! stick to the game or i'll throw paper airplanes at you and try to put out all your eyes!

Alejandro Escovedo, a great American musician who's been around for a long time, from the Nuns to Rank And File to Buick McKane. His cover of Ian Hunter's I Wish I Was Your Mother is one of the best cover versions ever, poignant yet not sappy.
Since he's been a hard working musician throughout his career, with no safety net of health insurance, he suffers from Hepatitis C. Several fund raisers have been staged throughout the country, with more to come, and many, many friends have helped him out.
