:nonono:Reagan, Thatcher :confused: They were both great leaders for their respective countries :nonono:

Thatcher - are you being serious?

We can well see you're not British, then...

:thumbdown:

I'm curious, and I ask with all respect, how you came about forming your opinion of PM Thatcher? The usual methods by which people form opinions of things. Reading (history, politics), influence of others (people I know more than the media), life experiences, that sort of thing.

I have no comment to make on her foreign policy, and especially not on the issue of the Malvinas, since, clearly, that's potentially a very sore point here. But she was/is an old right wing hag, and there are many numerous examples of her right wing haggery. The most obvious thing that stands out is the poll tax, a quite abominable idea. Which, by the way, they thought they'd give a trial run in Scotland first, so cheers for that. (Extra credit for the fact that Scotland didn't once return, or come close to returning, a Conservative majority between 1979-97.)

Anyway, I have no interest in getting into a political debate here, so I have little more to say on the matter.

So - He-Man - who wanted rid of He-Man?? No!! :nonono::laugh:

Thank you for the thoughtful response and for the new word which I will be introducing to the Plano, Texas lexicon: haggery. Greatness.
