almanso, with all due respect, you are fucking crazy. if there's one thing bjork cannot be accused of, it's repeating herself. debut and post are sterile in comparison to the unbelievable efforts of Homogenic and Vespertine. You really need to listen again.

i too saw her most recent tour and it blew me away. i seriously had tears 5 different times during the show. it was the most incredible concert experience i've ever had. Bjork is in a league of her own. i understand how you cannot enjoy her voice but her music is miles ahead of anything Radiohead have done.

saw the cubes in 88 & again at reading in 89, einar kind of distracted from her but she had a great stage presence

been sent some live cdrs from one of the nool faithfull but have moved house so theyre packed away at the mo...

seeing Bjork live is an experience that would change your mind about her. if she comes close to you, definitely go see her!

as for the Sugercubes..they have a handful of good songs but mostly they just suck.

i saw here on the homogenic tour. the show was increadible. she had mr. bell and strings in tow and decapitated the audience. haven't seen a show as overwhelming since then.

and for the record: radiohead put me to sleep when i saw them. dull as fuck.

i saw bjork at coachella and was quite underwhelmed actually. to her credit they were having computer issues and it was really really windy, plus she only had about 45 minutes to work with.. but it still wasnt as great as I was building it up to be in my head. im also not a huge fan of her new material. i think some of what she and the matmos guys pull of is really interesting (like sampling cards and insect wings and whatnot) but my favorite is the post/homogenic stuff

seeing anyone at cochella is can be iffy... i hate festivals because of this. it is unfair to gage anyone based on a performance at a festival. performers can do much better when it is their own show. with festivals, come too many outside variables.

along with the video thoughts, i'd like to say: i like the "hunter" video a lot!

I have to agree with you here, Seb dear. I love Bjork, have for years. The only time I saw her live though was at Coachella last year, didn't do her justice though.

I have 2 DVDs of her videos, and I have to say her videos are the best, very original.

The video of her hitting a reporter was taken when the reporter wanted to take pictures of her child, Bjork didn't like that much!

Also, if you haven't already, go rent Dancer in the Dark, excellent movie starring Bjork.

I seen her when she was in the sugarcubes a while back. Birthday is one of my favories from her.

The only band worth seeing on Inland Invasion is Echo and the Bunnymen; the rest would be better fit in a three ring circus

go enjoy it. just don't condemn any of those bands when they don't pull of the show of a lifetime. festivals are cool if you just wanna go see a shit-load of rock'n'roll and you don't mind the heat and the price-gouging.
