No to spoil your deal, but Retro has the Rough Mix as well...
Though there are other tracks on that 2CD that makes it a good buy.

...such as Breakin' having the classic Looking For The Perfect Beat? :D
Seriously, both Retro and Breakin' have the Rough Mix.

You sure, T? I thought it was the version off the A side of the 12". I remember some excitement at the time, as this was the first time it had made it onto CD... ![]()

Granted, it's been a looooong time since I listened to the Confusion 12", but I did listen to both the Retro version and the Breakin' version a day or two ago... And unless my ears are failing me they are the same mix, or as different as the RIAD remixes from the 2nd CD5. :)
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

...with all of my collector's respect to a super collector I'm able to give to you TLV, but in this case... ![]()
...you know...
The Saviour (officially back from NZ).
After a cleaning my ears, extensive soulsearchin', and plenty of sleep I admit that the Rough Mix can only be found on CD on the Breakin' CD as the Retro CD has the regular 12" version. Another lesson for me not to trust my ears or memory... :)
I apologize if my comments may have messed some trade of yours, Floyd. It wasn't my intent.

Got this Breakin cd,not for 'Confusion' but for most of the other stuff on disc 2. disc 1 is wank.
...as Mr. Percival said, the first CD is crap (I mean, it's 'new skool' - Arthur Bakers remixes, made in the 90s), but the second CD is very good (I mean, it's old skool - Arthur Bakers remixes in the 80's)...
...the first CD consists of 16 tracks, the second CD consists of 11 tracks (NEW ORDER - 'Confusion [Rough Mix]'; CUBA GOODING JR. - 'Happiness Is Just Around The Bend'; WILL DOWNING - 'A Love Supreme [Arthur's Jazz House Mix]', it's my personal favourite; CRIMINAL ELEMENT ORCHESTRA - 'Put The Needle On The Record'; AFRIKA BAMBAATA - 'Looking For The Perfect Beat' and 'Planet Rock'; etc...
...finally, the CD never was for sale, but it's still for trade...
...for example: I still look for the German or Japanese CD release VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Salvation O.S.T.' (incl. the long version of TBTHOG); and I still look for NEW ORDER - 'Retro' (incl. Bonus Disc)... ;)
