Taking from a french webzine:

Les premiers noms tombent: Rammstein, Chemical Brothers, REM et Faithless du côté des confirmés. Pour les rumeurs, on parle de Depeche Mode et Foo Fighters. En sachant qu'au Glastonbury (qui se déroule la semaine d'avant) joueront Kylie, les White Stripes et New Order, on peut déjà deviner les têtes d'affiche de la plaine de Werchter.

Translation:

First names revealed: Rammstein, Chemical Brothers, REM and Faithless are confirmed. For the rumours, Depeche Mode and Foo Fighters.

Knowing that Glastonbury (which is 1 week before) will have Kylie, the White Stripes and New Order, we can already guess the headliners in Werchter's plain.

Oh yes, this festival is in BELGIUM.

Nice. Pity i'll be broke.

Even though i'm not a huge fan of german death metal music, seeing rammstein would be fun. And then i could claim i've been to belgium twice in my life.

Wondered when somebody would cotton onto this one. Anyone thought of looking at the Spanish version of the Benicassim site recently as well?

Don't shoot the messenger.. it was posted in the french forum and I thought it would be general interest.

The website obviously is not ready, and doesn't say much, but REM's website does mention it, and Faithless is on the official site.

Fear not Nic, I'm on the European case. I've subscribed to every mailing list going, takes me about an hour a day to sort through all the shite in 14 different languages I get. Werchter is a probable, Benicassim is a goer. We'll know more in the next two weeks or so. Just hope the tickets don't all go on sale at the same time or the new kitchen is going on hold!

actually nobody in Belgium or Holland calls it "the clear channel festival", its just Rock Werchter. I really hope they will play there or at least somewhere in Holland and/or Belgium. It has been 20 years since they played our country and I really want to see them!
