maybe you could put the links to the websites behind the dates. that would help in coordinating.

not forgetting greenock town hall of course

i have just had it confirmed....they are DEFINETLY not playing greenock town hall, sorry folks looks like you will miss out on our pleasant weather and even more pleasant welcome.

How about Roskilde?

It seems the only one from the 2002 dates that isn't repeated in 2005...

well, right now we have 4 confirmed and 7 rumours... we'll see

I think they're playing there April 1st.

I think I need to sleep and fix my glasses... :skeptic:

has anybody heard rumours that they're doing move again? thats the only one that seems to have been overlooked, and the one nearest to me!!

Or Finsbury Park.. does that still exist?

Yes Finsbury Park does indeed still exist.

www.oxegen.ie for Oxegen, www.mcd.ie is the much more updated promoters website. MCD have/had some involvement in T In The Park in the past also.

I noticed the Chemicals are playing Netherlands in May, any chances of seeing the Order there?

Sat May 14th - Pinkpop Festival, Netherlands

Wouldn't it be useful for the band's management to actually put out a press release detailing where they are going to be playing?! Far too conformist though, why be open when speculation adds to the profile raising?

Cheers John, looking good for Oxegen then.

Other than the Coachella Festival in Indio CA, does anyone know there are confirmations or rumours of any other appearances by New Order in North America in 2005.

Thanks

:D

Sorry Mike, but at the moment it seems as though it's Coachella or nothing for North America.

Nice to have festivals, but will they do any REAL concerts? Any news about that?

Glastonbury confirmed? Really, officially? I hope you're right. My router's broken (overheated trying to get the new album probably), so I've not been following things.

Who's going? Are we going to meet up for a drink? Will we all wear our tee-shirts?

Originally posted by Josip Jurcic Nice to have festivals, but will they do any REAL concerts? Any news about that?

There are likely to be some UK shows in the late summer/autumn, but I haven't heard of anything other than that, unfortunately, which is a real pity as part of the magic of following this band is doing so in different countries and cities.

26-28 August - Reading and Leeds Festival, England RUMOUR

OUTSTANDING I'll be in the UK the last 2 wks of AUGUST. that would be a DREAM come true.

Well, I know it's Glastonbury. Free lurv and all that hippy shite ... but I would hope we're not all gonna be naked! :eek3:

Oxegen is now being confirmed by www.hotpress.com

this clashes with T in the Park, so which day for which one?

What days and when are usually confirmed when the last ticket batch goes on sale a week or two before

The second batch went on sale today

I'm probably getting a two dayer anyway as I can't afford to do Oxegen and T. And they'll probably play the same set anyway...

the rumours on the Oxegen forum and t'Boards suggest Saturday, last act, main stage.

T is the Saturday, confirmed, so Oxegen will be the Sunday. Better sort me ticket out for the Sunday!

If its Sunday, its not the main stage then, at least not last act. Could be The Ticket (music freebie with the Irish Times, nothing to do with extra tickets..) stage though

Please god not a tent. I've been lucky every year until now if an act I've wanted to see has been in a tent that I've got well up front, but Orbital was well overcrowded - security were pulling people out all the time.

Hey, you all forgot about Spandau!

I read last week (feb 24~) on NOOL that Hooky said they'd like to make dates in Chicago and Detroit in May. I MUST make the Chicago show. I have never seen them live, and I would feel awful if I missed this opportunity. I'm guessing in May? Anyone who knows the FIRST place to get news and tickets please do share!

Look at me I always get the blame....

Don't worry, you'll know about it when it happens... it should be right after Coachella, unless the band decide to do more promotion in the USA... April 29 in Oakland, May 1st in California... something near that I guess...

And yes, you should make it.

I hate to repeat my sentiments from the new Chicago thread, but I had no idea they could move so quickly after Coachella - us college kids would just be getting back home around May 9th. And during those shows its all finals week! I just wonder if it's any use looking for a postmonement until the weekend for the dates? My generation is very appreciative of New Order's influence! Believe me, plenty of a growing fanbase! (the band that saw the movement, that recorded the music, that changed the edge of music, that influenced the killers, interpol, many others) :banghead: Any hope in waiting for another date?

But thats the way that it goes....

Sorry, but I don't think they will postpone a date because a college kid wants in to be held at the weekend instead. Unless you pay for them to have a few extra nights in a 5-star hotel of course.....

NO hasn't played in The Netherlands since the early eighties. Unfortunately!

So, I don't expect them to appear at Pinkpop Festival. There might be a slight chance that they will play at LowLands festival, 19, 20 and 21 August.

But, having a treat like Benicassim 'just around the corner', I'll definitely make sure to see them there!

So V Festival is out of the way?

Spotnick wrote: So V Festival is out of the way?

Yep. And Reading-Leeds aint happening either. Official.

In fact, while I'm looking at your list, I think you could add in the Old Plough Festival in Brittany, France, which Hooky mentioned at the Canal + show. This is on from July 22-24.

And you might want to consider removing Benicassim.

And don't forget Portugal ;)

That word.......in red.........after Turin, might be worth amending it to something more appropriate. Say, beginning with C perhaps. ;)

I put STRONG RUMOUR because it's not on their website, it'll be CONFIRMED when we'll see it on the Fuji website..

But we know (at least the uk hardcore knew) that it is happening...

But since the "V" incident, I'm not posting anything unless it's really confirmed.. I just hope nobody will be pissed and bought V festival tickets for nothing.

Ah well, at least with the V Festival, you can then easily sell your tickets onto somebody else (considering it didn't take that long for it to sell out).

So, Turin is definitely confirmed, then?

Cheers,

Nick ;)

Hello everyone, especially NEW ORDER!

I see the band is playing at quite a lot of European festivals. I am writing from Hungary, and I was wondering if would please, please come to play at our festival called Sziget festival in Budapest?! I know a lot of people who love New Order and we would be very happy to see you here and you would see us in the first row by the stage for sure!!

Probably the best debutant post here! :thumb:

Utter bollocks though, I fear. :(

Range Of Fire. Nice title, but no doubt they'd fuck it up completely and change it to smoething gay sounding like "Hey now what you doing?" Call me cynical if ye's want :thumb:

I would also be very surprised, if they played new songs, the bastards havnae give us half of the last album live yet, now I don't play guitar, but I think I could bluff ma way through Working Overtime :eek3:
