DANCE pioneers New Order are to headline Stage 2 at T In The Park.
The sold-out festival will take place at Balado in Perthshire on July 9 and 10 and will feature a host of acts including Green Day, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Travis and The Killers. Organisers have tried to attract New Order since the festival started and boss of DF Concerts Geoff Ellis has finally landed his favourite band.
A spokesman said: "They will undoubtedly thrill the legendary Balado crowd with tracks both old and new, and never has the phrase 'not to be missed' meant so much!" The influential group were recently awarded the accolade of "Godlike Geniuses" for their services to music at the NME Awards and their live performance was a stunning highlight of the ceremony.
Other acts added today include the Athlete and Queens of the Stone Age who will both play on the Sunday before headliners Green Day and Travis.
