I think this event needs a dedicated thread.
I'll ask Spotnick to delete it if New Order aren't confirmed or I don't get a ticket!
Who's going? Who's been before? What are your plans for a good time when you get there?

I am going
Saw Nu Ordah there in 81 and 87.
only missed the 83, 84 and 85 Glasto's since 81, when I was working abroad.
If a band is playing that you like it is a bonus.
Oh almost forgot, if you go, have some CIDER from the Cider bus
Mike
I haven't been since 94. The mad Welshman who follows New Order was doing one of the bars and we'd get 10 pints of lager and 40 pound change out of a fiver!! Quality.
Spent all weekend buying sh1t acid then finally score some decent dots on the last night cos a lad I was with bumped into his dealer from Burnley and I had a 'moment' in some drumming field when a mate of mine suggested everyone was doing the Whicker Man and chanting 'Jarvis, Jarvis, Jarvis' without me realising, which of course then freaked me out.
Is that the year Orbital were supposed to have 'rocked it' but basically played their new album (Snivilisation) in full and a couple of classics so I thought they were basically sh1te.
Which year was Tom Jones? I fell asleep during that - mixture of snakebite, blue bols and baileys.
PS. Yes, I am going this year. Probably.
Done three Glasto's, 1990 [Mondays, The Cure with Robert Smith announcing World Cup results on stage], 1993 and 1994.
Can't recall much about the last two festivals, barely saw more than a couple of bands each time. Got to the site on the Wednesday for those two and stayed till Monday. Fcuk knows what we were doing for five days ![]()
Time to dust off the old tent ![]()
Bit of a mare paying £125 for 1 day mind. Was gonna do the lot but no chance of that with Hyde Park on the Saturday.
Went to Glasto 94.Camped from the wednesday night so it was a good long weekend.Watched Orbital off me ead and they were awesome. The songs that rocked were`nt the songs off then new album Snivilisation but the older ones like Impact and Halcyon. The only other band i vividly remember watching was St.Etienne in the bright Saturday afternoon sunshine off my ead on sniffing poppers.Sarah Cracknell![]()

That Orbital set was in front the most wasted crowd I've ever encountered. I'd had nothing stronger than Stella, but everyone else seemed to have about 10 million pills down their throats....
..and Ms Cracknell looked the fucking bees knees (much to the disgust of my (then) girlfriend)!!!!!
Won't make it this year. Was there 85,86.87. 85- Bunnymen were brilliant, only other memory is Style Council and Weller falling over. 86-The furs and the cure, half man half biscuit on the second stage and having to watch the england argentina game knowing the result but not how it was achieved. 87- Only there for the one band on the friday night one of their best gigs but thats how my addled brain remembers it.
I've booked time off work, just need to get tickets, but glastonbury here we come!!! (I'm going to miss the wireless festival in hyde park - but you can't have everything!!)
