Trust me, they were there 20mins ago!!
New Order on the Friday Basement Jaxx Saturday Keane Wednesday Kasabian Thursday
Doors open 4pm, think the price was 35 notes, not sure?
Tickets on sale 9am Saturday.
James Thomas wrote: Same weekend as Germany isn't it?
No, New Order are on Friday, June 24th. Same weekend as Glastonbury.
Is this likely to sell out, do we think? Current plans are that I'll be Stateside for this date but may postpone the trip until after this show. I could do with a few weeks to make up my mind....
Finsbury didn't sell out, but that was on the back of one single and the movie. This is part of the much bigger promotion of the new album, so it is possible that the way the media have latched onto them so far this year, it could be a massive attendance.
This show is definitely on. If you have a ticketmaster priority card you can buy the tickets now.
Doors open at 14:00, show starts at 16:00.
I understand the shows finish early (about 22:00, to please the locals)so foot down it is!
John, if you're coming over we're sorted ![]()
its on nme.com about it now in the news section, could somebody tell me the nearest airport please?
tickets go on sale online on saturday at 9am, BUT you can ring ticketmaster on 0871 230 5468 and buy up to 6 tickets RIGHT NOW, they cost about 35 quid (plus a ridiculous 4.20 booking fee!). on the xfm website it says you need an o2 phone but you don't really.
lee stephens wrote: its on nme.com about it now in the news section, could somebody tell me the nearest airport please?
Lee - any of the London-ish airports will be fine:
Heathrow; Gatwick; Stansted; Luton; City.
Fcukin' hell 44.20! ![]()
35 quid ticket 4.25 'handling' charge 4.95 'postage'
Bleedin' hell, and yes, you don't need an O2 phone - I've got Vodafone, and it didn't seem to matter...
Oh yeah, expect it to take anywhere between 10 and 15 minutes to complete the transaction, as you speak to no-one - all automated and littered with 'press 1 to accept' type bollox!
Well, at least I'm going! :)
l8rs,
Nick ;)
Like a Muppet i pressed (1) immediately after dialing and Miss Automation went gibbering on for at least 5 mins about ticketmaster privacy and shit...thought something aint right here so called the number on my mobile and realised I should have continued to hold.
Anyway got them on the 2nd attempt in 10 mins.
I'm buying mine on Sat morning and will probably stay in a hotel "Days Inn" which is near Hyde Park I guess. :)
How expensive is that Hotel? I'm looking for something cheap not too far away from Hyde Park.
it's 220 pounds but it's for 3 nights, 4 days and I think Buckigham Palace is near well at least I've been told so fook it ... I've never been to London before. :\ohwell:

Jim highly probable I will make this as the scatter pattern of the other gigs is making it increasingly difficult to plan a decent batch together. Is there absolutely no way to do Glastonbury without camping?
The fact that New Order is headlining makes this the most interesting of them all.
And the fact that it ends early makes you think you can go to a airport and get back home and sleep on the plane meanwhile... ![]()
June 24th is Québec's national holiday, so it's a day off here..
OMG... a ticket for London, round trip is 1900$ CDN on June 23 and getting back on June 24... ![]()
While flying on the 23rd and getting back on the 26th is 1100$..
I'm checking my things, if it turns out cheaper than doing some US dates, it might be an interesting summer vacation for my wife and I...
Now, I need to get in touch with the promoters to try to get tickets to give away... although I fear it's more difficult for festivals..

Wifey says don't be absurd, its in the middle of nowhere. tickets booked, will be in touch nearer time re arrangements.
Jim, Have sent you mail. Tell wifey I know a thing or two about the middle of bloody nowhere, I did live in Bradford for awhile!
Anyone know where to but tickets in London without having to pay the dreaded booking fee through Ticketmaster?
The show starts at 4 pm??? What does it mean? I seriously doubt New Order will be playing at 4 pm
. No, it's really important for me to know that because I have a flight from here on June 24 arriving at London at 1 pm. Do I really have to be there at 4 pm or can I come later? What if there's a flight delay? Keep the gate open for me
H-E-L-P!
As ive mentioned before,my mates arent exactly interested in going to gigs anymore. And seeing as i`ll have to buy a ticket in the next few days, anyone willing to let me tag along?:)

It's an open house - just be in the designated pub (TBA) from noon on the Friday!

The ticket gates will open at 4pm to allow people to get to the front and to watch the support bands. Very much doubt that the Order will be on much before 8pm, but you can never tell. We will find out the running order and estimated time on stage before the gig, and then be in the pub until ten minutes before they take the stage, then it's straight down the front!

Hope you've seen Gary Olman's 'The Firm'? You have to get NOOL tattoo'd across your arm first with a Stanley knife before we ever let you run with us. Oh, and one of us has to do the tattoo'ing.
In, or not?

Seems I have the same problem, for for gigs outside Montréal ;)
I was asked yesterday for Moby, Garbage, Coldplay and U2 ! they all come to Montreal and tickets are on sale within 14 days for all of those...
(Coldplay is not confirmed, but it's a matter of time)
U2 sells tickets for a gig at the end of November... that's using your money for quite a long time, is it?
Have decided that my trip to the west coast U.S. can wait until after Hyde Park.
I bet it bloody rains, mind.
daniel wengorz wrote: Al,but full-timer in barca and germany.
Brilliant, you're in Barca too? Bernd as well? I shall have to remember to bring you an orange & blue scarf - I still haven't forgotten!!
Are you still seeing New Order on Friday?
great...yet another gig I can't make it to...
had a chat with the boss at work this morning, and I can't leave the store before 7 in the morning on Fridays...and have to be back at the store by 10 on any Sunday night...
job pays well...but it's really fooking my chances to see any of the gigs this go around...
is it okay for a grown man to CRY???
just got myself a couple, for £40+ they better put on a decent show
are they really expecting 30,000 people for a day headlined by Kasabian? Or Basement Craps for that matter..
considering kasabians recent tours have sold out more or less straight away(3 nights at appolo in man alone) i'd have thought yes! thay're a superb live band, open your mind my friend ![]()

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think they're a half decent band (unlike Keane) but selling 30k on a thursday in london when they're basically a northern band...can't see it
Just got my tickets - am flipping annoyed about the handling fee - nearly £85 for 2 tickets AND it was a premium rate number.
Regarding hotels for people coming long distance, Hyde Park is really central in London and easy to get to on London Underground, buses and tubes so don't worry so much about staying very close as it could be one of the most expensive areas for hotels. If you want to be close but keep the cost of your hotel down, try looking around Victoria/SW1 or Bayswater/Paddington W9/W11 (if memory serves me well). Hyde Park tube stops are on Piccadilly & Central Lines and within walking distance of Traflagar Square/Oxford Street for those all important night buses that go practically everywhere. There are travel lodges (motel equivalents) in London - definitely one on Euston Road. Pretty basic but clean and have a private bathroom.

I'll wait to see if I can get Glasto tix (cuz I want to be there on the Friday) and if I can't, then I'll buy Hyde Park tix
If I do get Glasto tix, doe anyone think its possible to also see the Hyde Park show, then make my way to Glasto in time to see some good bands?
I've been thinking the same, but that's a bit greedy!
Also a waste - all that money on a ticket to Glastonbury and then miss 1/3 of the event.
It will certainly be strange to know that they are playing somewhere else, but I'm sure there are ways to get over it. I reckon that gig is favourite for a future DVD (nicer, fresher crowd than you'll find on the last day of Glastonbury, better sound-checking opportunities, fresher band...) so we might get to see both anyway!
Hyde Park will certainly be a nice consolation if I don't get in to Glastonbury, that's the way I'm looking at it.
Woo hoo! Got a ticket! ![]()
Just need someone to tag along with (anyone?)... My friends are all musical philistines ![]()

Oh gawd. Look what you've started now Jauncey.
There will be a NOOL sesh around this event Sam, so don't worry about finding people to hook up with. Just keep checking this board, someone will organise something nearer the time.
