Love Will Tear Us Apart was fantastic at the NME Awards and I would eat my cat if they didn't play it this summer (and I love my cat).

She's Lost Control and Digital should be stored away as the feeling is just not there. Transmish and Atmosphere can be good if done in the right way (no whoops Mr Sumner). I've always felt Disorder would be a good fit for New Order.

Isolation and Interzone.  Hooky's vocals during Interzone are fantastic at the JD Preston show.  I'm listening to it right now.

But then Hooky's vocals were a wee bit higher in pitch back then. Would much rather hear Dreams Never End.

I like their take on Isolation.  Love Will Tear Us Apart is a given.  Atmosphere is alright, but I wouldn't miss it.

LWTUA and DECADES

Unless they decide to finally have variety in their setlist at each concert, LWTUA will be enough.

They have 17 new tracks to pick from I might remind you... that's a LOT.

I wonder if something else from Get Ready than Crystal will surface.

it would be fun as all hell to hear digital or dead souls

They absolutely butchered Digital on 511. I think Dead Souls would be a stretch too far for Bernard. Disorder, however, would go down well imo.

Isolation and A Means To An End.

No! I don't want Decades to be ruined by whoops! Enough is enough!

Here are the young men *whoop*

a weight on their shoulders *whooop* *whistle* *here we go!*

NO!NO! NO! please don't do that!

They do a great 'Isolation'

also I'd love to hear 'Novelty' - a favourite of mine that would rock the crowd:thumb:

None of them.

agreed oldmonkey. bernard does butcher joy division songs. but it would still be fun to hear being a fan and stuff. more of a nostalgia thing. as long as you know bernard will butcher the vocals, you can find humor in it.

I don't think it's a case of Bernard butchering the vocals, I just don't want to see Joy Division songs. Full stop. If they wanna play 5 oldies, then play 5 New Order oldies, they've done Joy Division to death now me thinks, 'scuse pun.

Having said that LWTUA25 is a given. First on the set-list probably. And if pushed, I would actually like them to keep Transmish in the running.

It's not just the vocals. Only Transmission and Decades have ever really been done justice - they butcher the whole song with most of them! Too much rumbustious singalong anthemic rabble-rousing with their JD songs and not enough deference to the way the songs were formerly played. The indiscriminate whoops are the tip of the iceberg.

I'd prefer Primitive Notion over any of the JD-songs.

I don't need JD-Songs, too. I think LWTUA will be the only Song on the next gigs. The actual Material is so strong, they don't need them..

Isolation, Heart and Soul!!!- I am just looking forward to seeing them, they can sing anything and I would be happy!

DECADES. But I know it will never happen. It'd be great for closing up the show.

TRANSMISSION. I love the way NO do it live.

HEART AND SOUL. The 316 version is awesome!

SHADOWPLAY / NOVELTY / DISORDER. Could be fun.

DEAD SOULS by Peter Hook.

As for whoops, whistling etc. - I don't mind. C'mon it's New Order, not JD and we know JD tracks by heart anyway. (Ha, ha that's a good example how different JD and NO actually are, for those who consider them one band :) )

Decades with *whoops*, that's real horror! I'll have nightmares tonight...

LWTUA as an encore.  Maybe Hooky singing A Means to An End.

none of them for me too,i go to see new order to listen to new order, and it'd be a good way to piss off all the nme kids (in unknown pleasures t shirts no doubt, like the guitarist from razorlight at the blackpool gig last sat!) lwtua if there has to be one though, just one though, please!!

I like Shadowplay or Walked in a Line.  I'd rather hear early New Order stuff, instead, though.  Maybe some rare stuff like Cries & Whispers or maybe something like As it is When it Was, Procession or Paradise?  All unlikely, I know.. but I like the really early stuff.  I hope they play Guilt from the new album!  I haven't decided where to go yet... Oakland is closest (WA state here), but New York would make a nicer trip and Chicago/NYC are more intimate New Order-specific venues.  Any thoughts?  Suprised there isn't a "which place to go?" thread... or at least that I didn't see one!

Chicago scares me, because Billy Corgan might show up and then they'd play a lot of mediocre stuff from Get Ready.  Best thing I can say about Get Ready is the album cover was better than the new one appears to be.... the music on WFTSC is much more to my liking.  Then again, my favorite song on the new album is the only one Hooky doesn't like!

You've never heard me sing it in the shower, I do I nice job.

Same two that I would have picked though, the opening riff of Novelty always sends a shiver down my spine.
