I was thinking about Colony, too. I just don't think NO's current sound would work with it, though. That song is so dependent upon its production (not that it's not extremely well-written, but I think its sound is its strongest point); I just don't know that NO could pull it off live. I also doubt they would even try, as you said!

Colony requires precision timing on the part of all the musicians playing the song. It has to be right and tight or it will be shite. Can't imagine them ever thinking about it, far too demanding at this stage in their pensions.

I agree with you, as well! I think that there are a lot of reasons why Colony probably wouldn't work anymore.

This song doesn't get much attention and is one of my favorites.

That signature is a bit off-line if it is what it appears to be! Then again, does anyone actually know for certain what the words are to Dreams Never End?

Don't forget the "Come On!" exhortations from both Bernard and Hook. All throughout that NME performance of LWTUA they were hooting and hollering lol!

I'd love to hear the bassline from Wilderness again, but I'd rather not hear Barney attempt to sound menacing with "The blood of Christ on their skins *WOOOO*"

I must respectfully disagree with those who say it would be best to hear no JD songs at all. As much as I love NO, I'll be damned disappointed if they don't play any JD songs in NYC. I've loved the music of both for over 20 years.

I will jump out of my skin if they play Shadowplay, Means to an End, or 24 Hours. If they play LWTUA, I will probably break down and cry. While that would be a bit embarrassing, it's something I could look forward to.

I'd much rather see em come back for an encore and do a 20 minute version of 586 or a cover of another band....

Too true, sadly.

happy memories of Decades from RFH and opening CLP with Atmosphere - but then it was few and far between, enhanced even more by than shambolic nature of the performances. I'm sure someone can oblige with the stats as to exactly where and when the JD tracks started to creep into the set - safe to say there's a higher probability in 2005 than in 1985. Personally, I'd rather see some of the PCL era numbers given an airing - YSF, AofC or the classic live tracks - EGG, P Kiss - er, I could go on...trouble is the more material in the back catalogue, the harder it is to please everyone - even just one track from each LP would almost fill a set, and that's without the singles. Suffice to say current product will feature heavily, but I digress...

I would vote for Atmosphere closing Glastonbury.
