No, this isn't the tour itinerary for the American dates, nor Rocket Mick's CV.
It is my reaction to the news from my employer that I am not being allowed the first week in May off to travel across t'pond. Still, there's Germany, Italy and Spain I suppose. Grrrrr.[:'(]

Now that's sad... I just got my ticket for the Chicago show, I was hoping to pay you a beer ;)

This is indeed true, however that wouldn't be the best solution for me in the long run, and it is only four gigs after all. Order gigs they may be, but they don't pay the rent and turn on the lights.....

True, but that's where 'other employers' come in. This could be the motivation you've needed to switch horses. If you move away from the public sector, you aint gonna be on less money, that's for sure.

Would be far better if I had something to go to though, instead of just telling them where they could stick the job and jetting off around the world!
Theoretically I could fly out Thursday night 28th and back on the Monday, which is a bank holiday in England. All is not lost yet.

Nope, unless the wedding gets cancelled, and I hope that isn't the case! Benicassim is still very much on the cards though - line-up not announced yet, and their website has been running an Order feature for a couple of weeks now.....
