Uk gigs — Forum Archive — New Order Online

Does anyone know what the liklihood of New Order playing gigs this year other than festivals and the Hyde Park gig (Which i can't make :( ) here in the UK. I know nothing official has been announced or anything, but i'm a pretty new fan and they're one band that i really, really have to see this year. Otherwise i'll have to skive my end of term to make it down to London in June.

Yup, that reminds me of what a couple of mates did at Glasto and the Orbital gigs last year! :D

BTW, for Glasto, take some waterproof coat and trousers (if it's anything like last year), and some decent walking boots (so you don't slip over)!

And, yes, definitely visit James Hewitt's (yes, the same person!) cider bar - that strawberry sider is like rocket fuel (and very tasty in 2 litre bottles)! :spit:

Yep cheers, i think i may get myself a ticket now, i know a few people who will be there too. It's not so much a case of having to "skive" so much, it'll be my last day at uni so there'll be no lectures. I was more worried whether i may have to get my exam results that day, and i was probably going to go out that evening to the end of term party - probably my last chance to see uni mates before we break up for summer.

But yeah, i'm thinking New Order beats any of that. I'll be in Coventry at the time, so not that far to go really, although it'll be about a 7-8 mile walk back in the early hours of the morning, but i'm not paying £20+ just for a taxi :)

Glastonbury would be a bit much though, especially with my lack of money. But yeah hopefully i'll see you guys there! :D
