you will be charged the whole time you are on hold on the phone.
but the web site will crash.
Sorted for me and Pompey Gary! ![]()
That was less painless than I thought. Mind, did come into the office just to make sure I had the best internet connection going!!
still trying over the internet.. dunno if it's better for me to use the oversea customer's line.

So you managed to get Glasto tickets which are supposed to be very difficult to get, but you didn't get any for NYC? ![]()
Call that bad luck, but I'm quite sure you can ask Andy a favor, isn't it? ;)
my boyfriend bought the tickets for me via internet. (again!)
when it comes to big events or high demand websites,
it's always easier for him to get access from taiwan.. i'm fed up with our university's internet service.....![]()
the phone's not working at all.
see you in glastonbury!!!:)

Well, in fairness I missed the pre-sale for New York because, basically, I forgot about it. Did get a mail from the artist formerly known as Pizda with details but then I was in meetings all Thursday arvo and missed out.
Wolfram, I take it you're the same Wolfram from WIM who's also flying over to New York from London??
All internet applications are now sold out. Phone lines still open.
Just got mine a couple of minutes before the on-line order form closed. That was two of the more stressful hours I've had recently.
I apparently have mine. My mate got the confirmation screen but still waiting for the confirmatory email.

yep, that'll be me and I will be there - am only doing NYC in US - with 2 kids under 5, it's just not a goer to be away any longer. If they do 2nd night, will suit me fine. Maybe catch up and put faces to names out there?
that didn't paste quite as expected...again-

Well to add to a three month stressful time for me i did NOT get a ticket after 3 hours 20 mins then they SOLD OUT!So be happy MR GILES!
still waiting for the confirm email.. i hope i really got the tickets but not sure about that citizen card- i'm not a citizen :(
i found the ticket selling system often go crazy here.. it's always stressful when i'm trying to get some tickets. especially the ones with seats! normally i can get the tickets in the last minute back home. but the sound system and other stuff are way better than the concerts back home.
Missed out on Glastonbury tickets and NYC, what a crap weekend, Ive got a Chicago ticket but I cant be arsed to pay 500 notes rtn for 1 gig. Hopefully Hyde park will be nice and wet with 2ft of sloshy mud to make my year.:(

Buy tickets from Ebay for NYC, seems like the logical thing to do.
I still have hopes I'll be able to resell my own ticket, but no sign from the promoter yet...![]()
yeah.. the glasto tickets are sold out in three hours :(
i just called a few hours ago coz i haven't got the confirmation email.
the guy told me there may be a transaction failure due to my detail.
i do'nt know what's wrong with my detail!
i've used it several times already!
so i argued that i did see the "thank you for ordering" screen
and he wanted me to call back an hour later.
i can never get connected ever since!
all the festival tickets are out.. didn't expect this before coming here.. gotta be faster next time!
GOT TICKETS!!!!!
FUCKIN A!!!!!!

Pretty painless too! Down to hippo farm for me to hang out with all the new age cunts and make capitalism less bad crowd.
FUCKIN A!!!!
How will getting in Hyde Park as well work?
You, mr mcgowan, are you doing hyde park as well?
If you fancy it you can stay at mine on the tuesday night and come down on the weds.
Although bear in mind, as an unashamed capitalist, and someone who will still be doing a politics masters, i have no desire to discuss the rights and wrongs of the current system ;)
I will however, make a special effort to drink large amounts of alcohol with you. What you say?
Good Stuff. I'm up for that. I am an unashamed socialist, but I do hate new age types, and soft left observer writers (Sean O hagan linking his "Liberal Left" politics with John Berger today!!) err, untypically for an Irish, and a Socialist, I dont drink alcohol though, but am well used to enjoying 1 way drunken conversations with drunken friends - What are the logistics of doing Hyde and Glasto though? I dont even know what date they are on.
Let me check the logistics of staying here, i may have to work until late on tuesday night, meaning there'd be no point, and i'll get back to you.
Hyde Park is the friday and Glasto is the sat. It CAN be done. It will be very hard, i dont think theres many trains on the saturday. Unless you have private transport, its a logistical nightmare.
Shit. I thought it was on the Thursday night. Are there not busses? If there are enough fans willing to make the trip, maybe it can be done.
Hyde and Glasto - It Should be done.
Signing off for the night. Much more discussing to be done before June.
So , we got to the application page up and filled in and clicked submit but.. it just didnt go through and this was 9 10am.Tried again and again but no.Me and Bro were on constant redial all morning .Him on the land line and me on my Mobile. But it didnt happen. How the hell did you lot get through?

And with Digital playing London the night before Hyde Park, everyone should be making a whole weekend of it!

Ain't no New Agers left at Glastonbury these days, CC, and the festival itself is little short of smooth-as-silk-capitalism-in-microcosm. Enjoy, but leave your politics at home!!
Yes, one of the main problems with glastobury is you get constantly hounded to feel sorry and give money to all sorts of people, and they do this while charging you £2 or above for a cup of coffee.
NMEs saying that 2 million were trying to get tickets for Glasto and that they sold 10 tickets every second !
122,000 tickets sold and 20,000 of these were over the phone, the rest on-line.
2 Million! ![]()
Did you get tickets JG? Somerset is in a very different place to where I initially thought! However diluted it is from its original form, it does appear to be the only proper "Festival" going in the UK.
When was the last Glasto feat New Order? 1987?
I like that recent BS quote about his amp smashing not fitting in with the "peace and love" vibe of Glastonbury.

This guy is offering quality accommodation on his farm adjacent to Glastonbury for the festival period. Accommodation on offer ranges from a square plot to park and pitch your own tent to a fully-kitted American motor home, and includes caravans, log cabins and yurts. All levels of accommodation include access to hot and cold showers and flush lavatories, on-site bars and other catering facilities.
His packages (mostly sold to industry people and corporate bods) include festival tickets, but he has sold out of these. Accommodation is still available. If you’re struggling to work out what to do with that recent lottery win, he also offers helicopter transfer from Bristol, or anywhere else in the country.
In case you’re wondering – ‘he’ is not ‘me’, or anyone connected with me. Just thought someone here might be interested to know about this.
