whats up mike!?! i was thinking about hitting chicago too , but i am moving on the 1ST and funds are low. you coming down by yourself?
sounds good mike, i m getting out of work late(8PM) so leave me a message or i will ring you when i leave.
I'll be at this one 100% sure, not sure for Chicago yet, but it looks likely.
Now if they can only announce it, I'd be VERY happy... so I can book my trip without being ripped off.
hey frank, email me your phone number. I think i have the wrong number.

It's happening, Nic! Bloody better be. Some of us have flights booked to testify to this!
Otherwise I'm fcuking off to Vegas after Chicago! ![]()
If that was to be the case may even join you. Fancy a busmans holiday, may even swing expenses "all in the line of research."

Do we have to guess which of you plays the Tom Cruise and which plays the Dustin Hoffman role?
My plan ticket is bought, so I'm there.
Look for the very big shy guy with a funny accent... that'll be me.
We could do with them announcing the venue before we make any further plans !.
Frank - we can rely on you to point out the best bars in NYC ?!
...still in the planning stages at present ( trying to sell it as a romantic long weekend with her indoors ), but am intent on making this one and am up for a pre-gig beer - if anyone is that organised?

i will do the best i can once we know the venue, me Wenorder and Spotnick will be together already early on the day of the gig so i guess we should decide if we want to meet everyone else a few hours before the gig and hit a bar or just meet afterwards and go to a bar.
i'll be there, as well. and i promise not to talk your ear off this time in my drunken stupor, mike!
Hey, sounds good. Count me in. Caught Republic tour at Giants Stadium in '93. Drove 5 hours with a broken collarbone to see the show!

i've never been to the hammerstein--or at least i don't think i have as it wasn't a music venue when i lived in the city. it's near MSG, i see.
i vote for someplace in the village, since midtown pubs leave a lot to be desired--perhaps d.b.a. (over 100 beers available)? of course, shug and don developed quite a liking for puck fair's when they were in NYC! on the other hand, we'd have to take cabs or the subway up to the show after the pub if we started out in the village. and there's always that place in the east village we went to, run by that irish bloke, that let us play new order on the jukebox all night long!
anyway...anyone know any good pubs in the MSG area?
Anywhere will do, really... just get us a good place when we can understand when we're talking.
I'll be at the NYC show (thanks to WenOrder, who saved me from my annoying boss who of course made me run errands during the two times the tickets were on sale...
) I'd love to meet up with you folks, if you'll have me along. :) Unfortunately, despite living in the area for 16 years, I don't have any helpful suggestions as to where to go (as they were my first 16 years, and therefore no bars were involved, and that was a good decade ago anyway...)
LET ME KNOW OF WHERE YOU PLAN TO MEET,WE ARE FLYING DELTA EARLY MAY 5TH.STAYING AT THE HOTEL PENNSYLVANIA ACROSS FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.1/4 MILE FROM CONCERT...
YEAH BILLY & I ARE FROM ATLANTA,GEORGIA AND HAVE NEVER BEEN TO NEW YORK. LAST TIME WE HAD ANYTHING DOWN SOUTH RELATED TO NEW ORDER WAS MONACO AT THE ROXY IN THE EARLY 90'S (92?)
1/4 mile is an overestimation
it's totally a 3 minute walk from the hotel pennsylvania to the concert.
Also, I'd prefer if someone familiar with new york picked a place for us to go. I'm not to excited on going to the village and then going to midtown for a show that's GA. I'd like to be able to see the band thanks. Besides the fact that it's such a touristy suggestion.
I'm going to be in the dinner accross the street in the hotel new yorker. I loved their food when I worked in one of the offices there.
