Doves aren't listed as playing the Hyde Park event which No are on at...so is this something different Liam ?
no, a bit of a misunderstanding here. Doves are playing on friday night at glasto, same time as the order in hyde park. i just expressed in very badly.
they teach you nowt at uni these days...
Leo, I'm up for that.
But we need a contingency plan in case we get trapped at the front and they doactually start to play.
Can anyone get hold of cyanide pills?
Good to see that there'll be a big NO contingent..I'll be there too....
Don't know if anyone's seen, but the killers were recently slotted in to replace kylie. Well today they've announced they won't do it (fair play to them, don't think it would be right for them having done one album with 4 good tracks on it!)...so the last headline slot is up for grabs. I read somewhere that Eavis said pretty much the first group to say yes would get it. We can but dream that New Order will step up to the task, and close Glastonbury in style. It would be brilliant to give us 2 headline dates in this country instead of just one.
As Basement Jaxx are now following the Order on the main stage, how do those NOOL-ers feel about this: are they an adequate and quite funky replacement for Kylie's pert arse; or are they (as I have long suspected) a bunch of wildly overrated chancers with only one half-baked idea??
there not playing before basement jaxx. NO on Saturday before coldplay. Its Primal Scream before Basement Jaxx.
Must admit to being disappointed with choice of headliner. So Ian Brown for me then.
