Is anybody organising an afterparty for the may 5th gig? I'm a NYC resident who's going to the gig. I would love to get involved / help setup such a party. Theres a couple of places that might fit the bill but i dont want to waste my time if someone else already has the ball rolling on this one.

Aberdeen's a bit of a trek from hamerstein, i wouldn't be able to get there till saturday! NYC party anyone? as someone else has mentioned its cinco de maya so a lot of places are probably already booked up, but i know the people who run a couple of thursday night parties in the city that might be suitable.
as i say if someones already sorted this, id love to help out. put in 1/2 an hour on decks or something. i recently picked up funky alternatives one on vinyl after many years of searching i could play the evil dust remix off that if nothing else.
I would be a nice idea yes, but seems like nobody is even able to set up a pre-gig meet up, so an after party?
Maybe I should send a mail to my contact at the Avalon, where Hybrid played with Hooky, see if we can do something.

Nice place, nice size as far as i can remember. It would be nice to organize something there. But I wouldn't know how to do that. I still have that promoter's number from avalon.
But anyone from NYC who like to help organize something, let us know!
yeah id love to help. I dont like avalon that much, but at least its huge and they have some smaller rooms maybe they could set aside for such an event. I know the guy who does a thursday night party at Bar 13 who would probably be interested. otherwise ive spun down at a place called m1-5 its pretty new and a huge space, they might be interested in doing something. also maybe luke and leroys, i know a guy who does parties there. do you think its worth the bother trying?

The best thing is to let THEM organize it and just sponsor it ;) (lending our name in this case)

How far away is it from hammerstien?
bar 13 is nr union square (N,R,Q,W,4,5,6 trains) m1-5 is in tribeca nr canal st (A,C,E,N,R,6 trains) luke and leroys is in grenwich village nr houston st (1,9 trains)
hammerstein is nr the A,C,E,1,9 @ 34th st
or just get a cab; take about 5-10 minutes to any of these places
