If you are looking for a cheap place to stay you might contact this B&B at the link below. I've never stayed there, but I will be on this trip. Single rooms for $95, doubles for $110. It's hard to beat this price in NYC. In the Chelsea neighborhood. -jeff

Oh, just thought of something else that might interest some of you. If you are going to be in NYC for a few days on this trip, consider a stay at the Hotel Chelsea (they have a minimum stay, but I forget what it is). This is the hotel where Sid Vicious died. Also famous for others who have lived there, such as Janis Joplin and Dylan Thomas. I believe Arthur C. Clark wrote "2001 A Space Odyssey" while living there. It's very historic and has tons of bohemian charm. The lobby is decorated by original art donated by people who have lived/stayed there. It's also a bit (some would insist "very") shabby. Your room will likely have a fridge in it, though it may be less than perfectly clean. And yes, it's quite inexpensive for NYC -jeff

sid vicious killed his girlfriend there, im not sure he died there, well chateau Le Smarra is quite inexpensive, but the two spaces have already been booked by Spotnick and WenOrder, hopefully nobody will be killed
The hotel pennsylvannia 212-736-5000,very close to everything.... two double beds,one night around $140.00 to $160.00. Note:should be able to find after concert with no problem less than a1/4 mile.....

Definitely do not stay at the Hotel Chelsea...
You will be quite dissapointed and mad that you paid so much for that shithole. There's another hotel right next door that's cheaper.
