Not only does it share the magic of New Order live for everyone, both young and old, people discovering them live for the first time and people who have years of experience at "guess the next track", but it brings so many memories and recollections out. There are some wonderful posts on this board from people who saw them 20-odd years ago and only get to see them in NYC every few years, people who went to gigs in their State and never thought they'd get another chance, people who travel all over the world!

It'd be excellent if people could start recounting their memories in the live section of this site - each gig has a listing with a chance to post your own review, tell us your thoughts or correct the setlist - maybe you have a copy of the recording that you either made yourself or have picked up from somewhere? Tell us about it!

Yes, great post indeed !

And I've put a lot of time and heart into this Tours & Concerts section mainly because I wanted to create a place where everyone's memories could be preserved for each show New Order has ever made.

So far, many people contributed in scanning ticket stubs and pictures and also by sending reviews, but not enough yet!

So bring them on!

Well, the Coachella set may've been a bit "ordinary", but it was the reaction of some of the people around me(those not wearing NIN shirts anyway :rolleyes: ) that made it really nice, I'm thinking especially of the two guys who looked like they'd rather be listening to 50 Cent, but they were dancing and grooving excitedly, and one of 'em seemed to know all of the older stuff.

Sam already agreed that I could use all that is on his site to put here, so it will be done.

WenOrder is currently working on a new design for NOOL, so this time, SEBASTIEN, don't tell me you don't know ;)

We will enhance these pages a little, and obviously, I want to give Tim (and maybe Sam) the hability to modify and add stuff to each concert.

I'm with Orange in the UK and I didn't know until yesterday that you can email pictures from your phone. Just select email and type your address in and off you go! It might work on US phones? I have a Nokia, sure it is the same for other phones. If anyone wants some photos hosting so they can post them here, I'm happy to do it on my site. Just email the pics to me and I'll send the link by return.

GMEX '88.

A stark contrast to the recent set of US gigs as fan passion came in the form of a 10,000 strong mob showing true devotion to the cause.

The Mondays came on first and then ACR played above them, wasn't long after this that The Mondays were household so it seems strange looking back but they must have been on the cusp at this point. Used their set times to get within a few rows of the front thinking I'd be there for the duration, but such was the ferocity of the 'dancing' I was well back after the opening salvo of Touched/Ceremony/ True Faith [someone confirm the order of these]and never recovered. Looking back, I was pretty fit in those days but was absolutely fuct by this point, just 10 minutes in !.

Surveying the crowd, they could have been lifted straight from the terrace of any ground, I remember thinking NO had a bigger and better firm than any club I'd seen !

The gig closed with Barney throwing his guitar into the front of the crowd which caused gang warfare and stewards had to dive in to retrieve it which took a good few minutes. Can only imagine what the Head of Security might have said to Rob Gretton about that :D.

That was my first ever NO show and my first gig ever, and (for various reasons) I hated every second of it, but JG's assessment of the crowd was spot on. It was fucking manic, and I remember thinking at the time that the only place I'd seen anything like it was at the football after scoring a goal - only it went on for 90 minutes. I also remember everyone being wildly drunk, and wondering why so many people had come to see (what I then thought was) this little cult band....

spot on Mark, followed by Vanishing Point, Every Second Counts, Dreamtime, Subculture, BLT, AOC,Temptation, TPK, & Fine Time - I got a reasonable recording of that one, but it was bloody hard work. Giving it a blast now, after Touched Hooky says ' looking a bit fucked at the front, this'll sort you out' before launching into Ceremony - not arf!

Anyone remember WOMAD on Mersea Island - would have been '85 or '86. Remember it being ace, but not much else after three days of drinking!!!
