Dave and Kristine, host of the OFFICIAL NEW ORDER PARTY/NEWORDERONLINE.COM PARTY (it became official when the band, record label, and band management gave us their blessing) asked me tothank all of you who came out. No one expected it to be so busy. There were about 200 ppl inside by midnight and a line down the block. They say if you are ever in town to give them a visit, and that they plan on throwing a new order/joy div night in August.

Thanks to Greg Haus for spinning some amazing sets!!!

Yes, Peter Hook and Phil Cunningham were going to stop by. Andy and Rebbecca asked Spotnick and Wenorder if Hooky could dj. He asked if he could stop by and spin for a half hr. They did not come because they were exhausted after the show and they got word that it was extremly hectic and busy in the club.

The giveaways were signed by Peter, Stephen, and Phil. It effin smudged cause the pen was horrible :( greg haus gave them to people with the oldest New Order shirt. Some dude got the 4th signed item which was signed only by Peter cause he had a factory shirt.

I'm going to eventually post everything that was played last night, but i'm still recovering from this past 4 days.

Hope all noolers got in. I had to go out to get a few people stuck in line (Johhny Giles, Fac 7, Nic and Wenorder (yes, they waited a little and it was their effin party :) )

It was a great night, lots of pics will be posted soon, and again, thanks to everyone who came out!

if you took pics at the after party can you please post them here?

I will post them Friday Kamar, unless I manage to find a way to unload my memory stick by tomorrow (which I hope so... as I want to use it for the show!!)

Thanks to YOU for throwing this one, and thanks for everything while I was in Chicago, a very big thank you to Lindsey and you.

We didn't sleep much though, makes me sleepy the whole time, but I believe it was worth it...

I looked more sleepy than the Brits who were on jetlag!!

Yeah, thanks for everything Kamar - it was a great way to end the night. The venue was just right, I was amazed to get there at 11:05 and find it half full already.

Cotch - was it you or your mate that lost his teeth (I couldn't remember all the names)? That looked pretty painful.

Good to meet Mrs. Pope, the Judge and her hubby, the couple from the "other" Fort in Florida, the Vikings and...

I'd love to see pictures.

No, the Vikings are the English guys who are following the band across the world!

Yeah, what he said.

There was a couple from Fort Myers and I'm from Fort Wayne, hence the "other " Fort.

Your set and the entire after party was just fucking amazing.

I believe that the NO concert and the afterparty constitued one of the best nights of my whole life.

hey zachory, thanks for the compliment :) this was my second time dj'ing with dave and greg haus (i've dj'd with krsitine and dave a few times before) on the same bill and it's always an intimidating situation for me. dave and greg really are legendary in chicago. but i'm glad wenorder (mike) talked me into dj'ing as well, i turned down two requests before changing my mind. good thing i did cause i had a blast! and was able to hide in the back room and dj booth when i got overwhelmed with everything that was going on. funny thing is, i planned on playing a lot of interpol, killers, jesus and mary chain, raveonettes, more rock stuff i guess, but it obviously was a dance crowd and i had to ditch my initial plans. if your ever in chicago again (or anyone else) please visit greg haus at berlin and dave and kristine are at neo every tuesday and thursday. i have a show on www.wluw.org mondays 10pm if you can listen on line.

next up.... the cure feature artist night tuesday may 31st with dave, kristine, me, and toast :)

oh, ps---> love yer hair :)

"3.Stone Roses---I Adore You (?)"

That's "I Wanna Be Adored" (Yes, I was the guy in the Roses shirt.

I know I was dancing to the Smiths "What Difference Does it Make?", either just before or just after Stereo MC's but I don't see it here.

Picky, picky, I know. Great sets all round, great way to end the night.

Thanks again.

I think I left out a song or two when I wrote down my set list, but I can't remember what the missing track or tracks were (Scissor Sisters, perhaps?).

The Bjork song I ended my first set with was the spectacular Vitalic remix of "Who Is It?" which is available for download to benefit a charity that gives aid to children in war torn regions throughout the globe. Go to www.warchildmusic.com to purchase the file.

:music:

Again, I had a great time at this event.
