Quite a sexy looking gaff, down on West 14th Street.

So where is the pre-show meet gonna be ? or just head straight for Lotus ? What do you locals recommend ?.

Where's Frank Smarra ?! :thumb:

Don't forget to call AgentWood's friend while there :evil4:

I don't know if this show will work as much as the other one, which was pretty packed I must say.

Frank's around... he's probably the sure one for that one.. there aren't too many New Yorkers on this website...

If only I weren't in Europe right now...Sigh. But I am sure he will be back in NYC at some point.

Who's the lad who was gonna put everyone on the guest list for Hooky's DJ set in May, before they switched it to Hiro ?. Ecko ?? you coming along ?

And what about everyone else who was at the Hammerstein ? are you coming out for this ?

Got at text this morning from JG, apparently Hooky said to him "Have you got nothing better to do"

Mark should have replied with - I'm only here to see Kasabian :shades:

What Do You Want From Me Out of Control

Shame I didn't get to meet any NOOLers. I know Jonathan couldnt make it, did you get there Frank ? Had a look out for you but couldn't see you anywhere. We started downstairs near the booth then went to the upstairs bar for a perfect vantage point of Hooky throwing shapes ! Was hammered by the time I stumbled out onto West 14th !

Hi to Frances of LA and Jasmin of Inwood if you're reading this :thumb:.

Had a great time in NYC, the Across The Narrows Festival was great........Doves, Interpol and the NY Dolls were all quality. Saw Hooky's roadie from the Get Ready tour out there, he's been working for Doves for a few years now. Also bumped into one of the British Sea Power 3rd Batallion, Neil, from Islington, who'd flown in for their gig. Last time I saw him was watching BSP at Coachella. It's not just the Vikings who get about !

NO spotters - Although Studio 54 no longer exists, the logo'd glass doors are still there in all their glory. The building is used as a theatre these days.

Hey, Mark! It was great meeting you and Neil (hope I'm remembering the name right...*gulp*) at Lotus. Did you catch Brakes? We didn't make it - after Hooky, Across The Narrows, and Interpol on Sunday, we needed a night off...

Hope you had a good time in NYC!

Jasmin(e) of Inwood :D

The top bit of Manhattan, around 200+ Street. Washington Heights, I think.

Hey Jasmine

Yep, you've got the names right [just ike me :ignore:]. We went down to Ludlow St to see Brakes, they played the room at the back of Pianos which is TINY. Half the audience were English and Jan from BSP was stood right next to us.

Shame you couldn't make it - you'd been partying too hard?. They dont make indie kids like they used to :D. Also saw some small indie band play, The Bestys [], at The Cake Shop on the same night. When I say small, I counted 13 people in the audinece and I'm sure there were members of the 2 other bands on the bill, amongst them. Brakes played Pianos on Tuesday as well, we didn't do that one though.

How was Coney Is ? Staten Is was quality.

Dunno Frank. I love NYC and need no excuse to get over there. Does cost a bit mind so can't be there as much as I'd like. Been twice this year so may be a while before I return. If NO play there again I'll be there like a bullet :D

Yup. Good ol' "upstate Manhattan" as we like to call it. :)

Coney Island was great - it was pretty cool watching Pixies from the 2nd row (unlike the last time I saw them)! The other bands were good, too, but Pixies and Gang of Four made it worth the price of admission for me.

And yeah, I would've liked to see Brakes on Tuesday, but I'd already committed to seeing Athlete that night. I'll have to catch 'em next time!
