If you are having a hard time online :)
My prediction:
A song or two off the new upcoming album (not necesarilly determined for future singles). That would be A SURPISE!!!!

And a PLEASANT one, at that! Honestly I'd rather hear Ceremony and TPK, though. But that's just me. I wouldn't scoff at a few new cuts. :D

It'll be sold out by noon, tickets go on sale at 10.00 am.
Actually I was hoping this would be the official pinned thread, but then Nic went over my head and made his own minutes later. So much for ever having a popular thread again.

yes mate, I'm east lower too. I'm usually found lurking around the bar at half time, and most of the second half. I've not seen a goal at OT yet this season, I've always been at the bar!
I'll represent the American recent-college-graduate demographic for you since you can't go, Pope.:D
Just got one for myself as I got general admission standing..too bad its a Monday..who's driving me?

I'd like to see Flight supporting. Quite fitting. However you could always do a set in the chosen watering establishment.:D ![]()
Ticketmaster still selling (robbers!); There's already 2 on Ebay - starting bid £0.99. Six day listing. I'll guess they'll go for around £150?

Nah, I reckon it'll be British Sea Power! ![]()
£40 quid by the time you've paid ticketmaster on top of the already steep 32.50. Are they just cashing in?
Yup, £40 a ticket (there's two of us going) plus train fares from London, plus B&B plus train fares back. Not forgetting booze. Looks like my total cost for one evening is going to be close to £400 !
![]()

At this late point, does anyone know where I can score a ticket, as Ticketmaster says that tickets aren't currently on sale?

They still have a few seats left this morning as do NME's website. I'm going on my lonesome travelling from Liverpool (where I'm working) so any company or a spare standing singles (I'm in the stalls) would be greatfully appreciated. please let me know.
Cheers Brummie Mark
I'm a big fan of The Sinc, but that could get a bit messy surely? i never thought I wouls hear myself say this but the beer might be TOO cheap. One advantage though, won't be packed as usual cos its a monday. I finish work at about three, should be about five minutes rolling distance from whereever the final meet up place is (assuming you stick to the city centre that is)
Whichever pub you decide, I'll be there! ![]()
Tickets look as though they're sold out... Only agency that lists tickets available (NME/GigsAndTours aka SeeTickets) don't actually have any available (not even in seats)! :)

Mark - just keep your eye on here to see where the venue for the meet-up is decided. You'll have more company than you'll need (and probably some you won't want as well!)
What's that pub called on Charles St? Joshua Brookes?
It's right opposite the Factory Office (now Paradise Factory) and it's plenty big enough for us all. It's also handy if any of the out-of-towners want to mount a pilgrimage to the former Hacienda and other Witworth St Haunts, or a jaunt to the other pubs down Charles St (Lass O'Gowrie for Real-Alers, Cro 2 on Oxford Road for a posh lager and nice food. Charles St/Oxford Rd is a bit closer for busses/taxis when it gets time to advance to the Apollo.
So, I propose 12.00 in Joshua Brookes!

I'd like to thank GaryMac and Shug for the original information on this gig ending up on this site.......and of the course the itself and everyone who contributes all this good good info. I'm on an oil rig off the west coast of Australia currently, and oil rigs aren't the easiest places to find out whats going on in the world never mind NO gigs. After my daily visit to this site I called my wife who secured my ticket the very next day.
I've been visiting this site and it's predecessors for years now, but never really posted much or attended any of the pre-gig meet ups. Hopefully i'll see some of you before this gig and thank you personally.
I know that this is the whole point of this site but Cheers anyway..............

fecking gutted! this would have been the first time I've seen this since Move at Lancashire in 2002!
I never miss a manchester show.
i am beyond upset.
I have to wonder why the hell when New Order does a show, it's announced and the sale goes on 24h later.
Gee, when I bought my Depeche Mode tickets, I knew the sale date ONE MONTH in advance.
Is it too hard to do? so people can actually know it's going to happen? ![]()

I guess it goes to show that they didn't need to spend any money promoting the gig, as well as being a last minute booking...
As far as promotion went, it was just word of mouth through this (and worldinmotion) websites as well as a story in nme.com? :)
i know this was probably arranged intentionally like this, a small-ish club style gig, but still, I never miss them in Manchester and I'm gutted I'll be missing this. Its not really all that fair to the real fans, who spend a fortune following and supporting them, I ain't paying silly ebay money, like I said in my previous post, am just too upset for words!

Get on Ebay then. You're only looking at £15-20 tops added to what you'd have paid the day they went on sale.
Your best bet (if you haven't got a ticket yet) is to go for this on ebay for 55 quid "Buy It Now", which is probably the cheapest out there? Of course, you may get lucky and someone will have a spare, but at the end of the day, a standing ticket (together with booking fees and postage) came to about 40 quid anyway, so an extra 15 quid (+postage) is not that much (in the circumstances)...
A pain in the arse, definitely, as if I'd been on holiday last week, I'd probably be in desperate need of a ticket, but to be honest, I think that this gig was a last minute thought (possibly as a warm-up to the "Hall Of Fame" awards a couple of days later)?
Oh, and people who buy tickets to later sell on ebay for a profit are scum, but that's the problem with supply and demand... ![]()

But please give us the update on what they played and what they did.

Is anybody whos bought tickets actually going to these gigs or are they all selling them on Ebay for extortionate amounts of money?
3 F**kin' pages. Jeez
Bought tickets. Booked train & bus to Manchester. Booked 2 nights in B&B. Of course I'm going to the gig. Do you think I'm a complete twat?
![]()
Erm... don't answer that, but in brief, EBay can kiss my hairy Viking ARSE!!!!!! ![]()
Yup, booked flight/hotel/Heathrow Express, contemplating choice of pub, so am definitely going, otherwise I'll be severely out of pocket! :)
Unfortunately, for gigs with big names, there are only a finite number of seats, so excess demand as against (relatively) small supply = profit on ebay and for touts...
Sucks, as if I'd bought more tickets than I needed and/or couldn't go to a particular New Order gig, I'd either (preferentially) offer it to people on this forum for cost price (i.e. ticket price + booking fee), or (failing the first option) put it on ebay for the same price at "Buy It Now".
When there's money to be made, people turn into greedy bastards... Way of the world, unfortunately... :\ohwell:
So chuffed about the Brixton date, spent 3 days away from my PC last wek only to find the Apollo shows announed, and could I get a standing tix ?
Then they anounce Brixton and my mate from the south has sold me his standing tix for the Apollo so he can attend the Brixton show.
Happy ? Just a little bit.
Cannot wait, missed the 1998 Apollo show and had to be contented with the Reading show, and after the mixed weather and punch up in the crowd I got emboiled in during Wireless I cannot wait.
Jesus, just noted my join date, and my number of posts. I'm embarassed. Must post here more and keep away from that pesky DM forum.
They are playing the Brixton accademy too. £38.00 in fees for this venue is a rip off, a cynical cash in. I have to ask myself if I can see a better show for less money and the anser is YES!!.

Well the question then has to be who? :)
Prices for gigs, especially popular groups, are sufficiently priced to copy with whoever pays that much (i.e. us fans). If we all refused to pay the 38 quid per ticket, then the price would have to be lower, but (as has been shown with the Apollo gig), it only took a couple of days to sell out the venue.
Sure, I don't agree with it, but aren't other popular bands' (e.g. Depeche Mode, U2, etc) tickets similarly priced? ![]()

Interesting first post. Where's this 'better show' then, for 'less money'?

Yep, I'm going to see Depeche Mode next year - but when me brother quoted the near-£35 it was gonna cost I wish I'd never said yes. And we're right at the back of the MEN enormodome.
That said, it IS expensive to see NO, and there is part of me that just knows they can charge that much because we're idiots and love them too much, but personally (and I guess this goes for most of us) I couldn't imagine being anywhere else on those two nights. £40 is a small price to pay.

When I very first started playing in bands, we used to charge no more than £1 for tickets. The last band I played in (we actually played some fairly big venues - 1000+ seaters) we still insisted on tickets being no more than £8 and that was in the mid '90's. We played gigs with some pretty big (punk) bands at the time - Chaos UK, Subhumans, Conflict, SNUFF, etc.
But then, it was about the music, not the profit.
We can't blame the band for the ticket/booking prices. And yes, the prices stay that high because WE are prepared to pay them to see NO.
Must admit, I wouldn't pay that much to see ANY other band...
I saw Carter USM at Glasgow College of Technology In 1991 and the ticket price was £2.50. Still got the stub as proof!
On another note, I'm travelling back from Manchester Victoria train station (via fecking Bolton and Edinburgh). How central is this place? Only know Picadilly.
Victoria is pretty central, just hope on a tram heading towards Bury and it will deliver you right into the bowels, so to speak; but its only a short walk.
right to be a little bit clearer- get a bus back into the town centre from the Apollo (should take about five mins) which will probably deliver you back to piccadilly gardens where you can get on a tram. the tram is free cos you have a train ticket so might as well use to make sure you don't get lost, and also wandering around that part of town at night, well lets say having a quizzical look on your face probably isn't the best idea. Anyone at the gig will be willing to help you though, especially your fellow noolers.
I once walked past the door of a Blur concert and the doorman offered to let me go in for free!
I refused, of course!
I will be seeing you all in Manchester and Brixton.
I can't believe that i managed to wangle the end of one week and the start of the next off work in one huge blagg.

Looking for some guidance here. I've been offered a ticket for the Apollo gig, but only one so Deek will have to stay at home. Problem is I don't know my way around Manchester at all. I have had a look on the net and found that there's a train from the airport to Piccadilly Station which should be near the Apollo. But where to go from there? Where to stay? I'd rather not travel all over town on me own. I'm bound to get lost. And have we decided on a meetup place yet? Will it be near the Apollo? Don't fancy missing everybody and having to go on my own. Still in two minds here, about whether I should try for a London ticket instead. Just can't make up my mind :(

Personally, i think its actually quite reasonable. Its only slightly cheaper to see Morrissey and roughly the same to see Depeche and The Cure. Its the laws of supply and demand, simple as that really.

Apollo ones? Mine too. I hate those shitty little things - you pay £40 you want something pretty like the Hyde Park ones. I'm a sad sack and frame all my gig tickets these days so this kind of thing matters. Unlike Liam, I've given up pretending I actually have a life....

yep, worth it to see god likes. and i know someone's paying 30 quid just to see bloody simple minds and thats at the uni, which is usually about 15 quid.

Goin to see the Doves in Tokyo on Sunday night. Would love to say it's cos I'm 'ardcore but it's just cos I'm gonna be in town. Mind you.....fifth Doves gig in twelve months......is there a Viking's equivalent for Manchester's second best band?

Nice one - bring on the
(s)! :)
I'll be a very good little boy before the gig, I don't want it all to vanish in a haze. Also I'm totally single minded on my way to gigs, anything that could cause a problem is a no no. Afterwards I'll probably be up for it, in fact afterwards I'll probably needs horse tranquilizers just to make me tolerable.
However (reaches for Nigel Mansell's book of excuses), there are 2 things that may be a downer.
- If I'm still on anti biotics, I can't drink, unlike others, these ones will not simple cease working if mixed with alcohol, they actually turn the victim into an axe murderer (no, I'm not joking, look them up, they're call metronidazole, the exact term they use is "acute psychosis"), and
- Because of 1. I'm SEVERELY out of practice. that means I'll either black out after 3 pints, or still be sitting pretty and sober at 9am. The not getting drunk thing started when I started doing nightshift. A coupla years ago, we was out for a drink for my birthday, everyone else ended up utterly devastated, and despite me being bought booze by all and sundry, I ended up going home because I couldn't stand all the pissed people.
I'll just wait til you've all had a skinful and whip out a nice ciggie of the finest green smoking mixture and watch the doninoes fall[1]. best way to play last man standing....cheat!
this is assuming I don't get caught in scotland where they don't have such enlightnned laws as here and england. And assuming the local gardener I know has harvested.
Actually I'm looking forward to some proper english beer ( good job too, cos the guiness will take like somethig squeezed out of a horse), I never got much of a chance when I was in leeds as we did our drinking at home. once I'm lined with ale, I'll probably progress (finances permitting, remember, this is a giro fueled mission) to the vodka and redbull, the drink of champions.
[1]while having a few smokes with yer beer will do no harm.....getting shitfaced THEN smoking is always bad.
If nothing has changed for the last ten years or so there is a good pint of Boddingtons in Joshua Brooks.
BIGINOIL wrote: If nothing has changed for the last ten years or so there is a good pint of Boddingtons in Joshua Brooks.
Well, apprently it changed it's name to Sofa Central, and then back again to Joshua Brooks! :) Also, Boddingtons is no longer made in Manchester - I assume you can still buy it there, though? :p
Well, me totally sad, sorry to say, having never seen the band live 'cept on dvd, had no net access all last week. Well cheesed off missing news of this gig, now sold-out I believe. My mate is a mega fan but does'nt even know what the 'net' is,so never heard either.
Anyone got any standing tickets , or am I gonna have to try ebay :-(

Go to: http://www.neworderonline.com/Forums/MessageList.aspx?ThreadID=25083 you MIGHT still be in with a chance if you phone early morning...
there's still plenty on ebay, I got mine for 44 quid :)
And keep asking here to see if you can help someone with too many out. Typically enough, 20 mins after I bought one on ebay, I go a mail from a NOOLer stuck with one too many standing tickets. Wish I'd waited and helped a brother out :)
Boddingtons is nowhere near the level of proper I had in mind.....I'm thinking "scruttock's old deridgabe" with twigs and dead badgers floating in it. After a life time of Harp, I'll drink anything :)

You really wanna watch the drink if you are taking metronidazole. Even the smallest amount of alcohol will make you puke, let alone the other side effects...
puking's just what happens with takin them (and the tramadol...which froth in an empty stomach...yum).....I always do what Dr's and pharmacists tell me, and they're always honest. If you say "i'm going out this weekend can I drink" they WILL tell you if it'll just stop them working, and to go ahead....but despite having been on these fookers for a year, the chemist STILL tells me every time not to fuck about.
The whole "acute pscyhosis" thing terrifies me....but not as much as the roaccutane they propose filling me with soon....it's side effects include permenant psychiatric disorders and suicide. WOOOOOHOOO!!!! Thank FUCK almost nothing reacts with weed (cept booze) :)
I Started my course a little early so that I'll be finished them at least 72hrs before mankfester, plenty of fluids and vitamins will flush the fookers out in that time. That's assuming I don't have to interupt the course because I'm in danger of starving to death :)
My tickets arrived this morning.
Thanks to the BBC6Music newsteam announcing they were on sale I got straight through to gigsandtours.com.
It's also thanks to them that I got a Glastonbury ticket this year.My DAB radio has turned out to be well worth the £150 they cost 2 years ago!

Right, get into Manc about 20 past 2 courtesy of Sir Beard. Quick Shower,S**t and shave. So will hopefully see some of you guys and gals in JB's from about half 3. Hopefully it will be as good as the Audley B4 Hyde Park this year.
I have been confirmed that the ACR set will be filmed.. and probably available on their website eventually, so if you want to see yourself there, don't stay in the pub for too long ;)
I'm more concerned about stamping the Irish Order's hallmark all over any NO bootleg, it's just a question of working out exactly the right thing to yell, I had been thinking "oi barney get your tits out", but it lacks finesse.
Put us down for arriving at JB's round about 5 ish. Some questions:
- For definite: what pub are we all meeting in and are there directions (i.e. on Google Maps)?
- How much of a walk is it from the pub to Oldham St?
- How much of a walk is it from the pub to the Apollo?
- Where are we going after the Gig?
- Are there many late-night food outlets about town (I get desperately hungry after all that gigging)?
- Is the pub we are meeting in, and the place we are going to after the gig near a train station? What time does the 1st train in the morning leave for the Airport (roughly)?
- Is the pub we are meeting in, and the place we are going to after the gig near a Bus stop that will get us to the Airport? What time does the 1st bus in the morning leave for the Airport (roughly)?
- Roughly how much is a Taxi to/from the Airport?
I would really appreciate it if some Manc head could answer these questions – some of them are more important than others. I was in MCR for the Saville show, and found it easy to get to and from the City Centre by Train – there is a line to the Airport. I can usually make my way about quite easily. Conrad and myself will be heading (and 2 more Irish heads I think?) – and since they will probably be clinically brain-dead with drink – let alone in a state to make flights – by 4pm, it’s pretty conceivable that I am actually speaking for 4 here! ![]()
Thanking someone (anyone) in advance.

If I've read things right, the pub is decidedly close to picadilly station, which makes the gig ( by my best guesstimations), a fair old stumble away, probably a bus/taxi trip. this is based on about 20 sleep deprived minutes on streetmap.co.uk. So it's probably certain bollox.
EDIT: it's starting to look a lot like I'm going o be both sore and moderately sober on monday (stopped antibiobastards today, but will be eating painkillers like sweeties, and I suspect booze and opoid painkillers might be a mixture to observe VERY carefully)
I can't answer the questions about the venue(s) coz I'm not sure myself, but-
Looks like the trains from Piccadilly to the airport run through the night on a light service and pick up again around six or seven am. Airport buses I'm not sure about timewise.
For late night food it's just the usual selection of take-aways, I'm afraid. But some of the curry places in Rusholme along Wilmslow Road (about 20 mins from the city centre by bus) are open pretty late.
Dont worry about getting around in the city, it's all walkable (unless it's raining, but I guess that will only affect the southern softies
)
However, I have been wondering about the journey to/fro the Apollo. It's a big walk as it's outside the city. There are always taxi's but the best option for a big group will be by bus. I'll have to ask some of my mates but I think buses that head out the Apollo go from Picadilly bus station. We may be able to catch them at the top of Whitworth St.
No probs for food after the gig, there's plenty of places. The city should be quiet on a Monday night apart from the student haunts, it aint no London.
If anyone gets stuck before or after the gig, give me a shout (07768 632572). BUT, dont rely on anything I say, I'm the tit who missed his plane so didnt get to Brixton. ![]()
The Apollo is ten mins walk tops from manc city centre. If everyone gets on the bus by the time it sets off you would already be there.

I told you not to rely on me ![]()
Well I'm staying at the Premier Travel Lodge on Portland Street and according to the website it is 1/2 mile from both Piccadilly and the Apollo. Which should make it 1/2 mile or so from the pub.
I'll be the lonesome Brummie by the way (wearing a white carnation
)
Me and my mate are driving from Darlington, (anyone need a lift ?) says on the Apollo website there's on-site parking, bound to fill up pretty quickly, anywhere else near ??
Class, more and more Darlo lot turning up.....
Ok for a lift thanks by the way, 3 of us going down in afternoon already! ![]()

No doubt there will be plenty of scally scum in bright jackets offering "Safe Parking" for a fiver on some derelict land. As soon as the gig starts out comes the crowbar and there goes your car stereo.
I was just gonna say the onsite will fill up, then empty as half the original intake is nicked, making room for more.

Errr don't listen to me, i dunno dick :)

Also: Ashley, Ill give a quick email tomorrow, and send a text to your number just to make sure I'm square on the details (If Im not, please let me know). Should be a pretty straightforward operation anyhow.

I did phone the airport to find that, while the terminal is open all night, the eateries re-open around 5.30am - so that's breakfast sorted anyway! we can get the train timetables when we arrive there. But we definitly need the address/directions to JB's for the meet-up.
Anyone know what time is throwing-out time?
Left my car in worst places, left a 2 day old Mini Cooper copy outside Brixton Academy at strangs gig, untouched when I came out
Noticed the on-site is patrolled so should'nt be too bad.
Won't spoil my first NO gig anyway ![]()

Well within striking range of Oxford Road then. We should have no problem getting there from the Train Station too.
j b' address is 106 princess st,but if you go down to bottom of princess street and see a pub with loads of people in it ( on a monday ) then thats the one ![]()

Bansheeman I must get to meet to you in JB's as I'm sure a beer or two post-gig will be necessary.
I'll be wearing a 2001 tour t-shirt (the black one with red on the front and tour dates on the back). Wanted to wear my '86 State of the Nation tour t-shirt but can just about get it over one arm now

I should arrive at JB's 5.45ish. If the plan changes I'd be grateful if somebody could mail me a mobile contact number as I'm hoping to avoid getting lost. Thanks in advance.

me and a mate arrive at about 3pm, we are arriving by train from glasgow. Is it easy to get to this pub from the train station? hope to see you all there.
if you're coming into picadilly, that station on that map is roughly-ISH where the railway crosses the London road. At least that's what I'm working on :)

I would really appreciate it if some Manc head could answer these questions – some of them are more important than others. I was in MCR for the Saville show, and found it easy to get to and from the City Centre by Train – there is a line to the Airport. I can usually make my way about quite easily. Conrad and myself will be heading (and 2 more Irish heads I think?) – and since they will probably be clinically brain-dead with drink – let alone in a state to make flights – by 4pm, it’s pretty conceivable that I am actually speaking for 4 here!
Thanking someone (anyone) in advance.
Right then. As an exiled Manc now living in the black country, here's a few answers.
- Ithink its Joshua Brooks - Dont think theres been to much dissention on that one. 2.JB's to Oldham Street is 15 mins max walking through the village.
- Pub to Apollo is 15 mins walk, as long as you. dont mind a roughish estate. Easy though.
- Dunno not much open on a Monday .
- Normal Fast Food stuuf. Chinatown - Pearl City is normally open until 2 AM. 6.JB's is 5 mins walk to Oxford Rd and 10 to Piccadilly stations. Trains run about every hour to the airport during the night from Piccadilly.
- Dunno Dont do buses .see above.
- Black Cab to Airport. Approx 20 - 25 quid.\
Hopefully that answers the questions. Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. I be the chubby peter Kay soundalike with the 2001 Apollo t with the Red Design on the front.
The Apollo is 1 mile from Joshua Brooks.
I just checked it out in my motor, I need to get a life.
i'm picking my ticket up off Ness in JB's. What time are people going to be there? I'll be in from 4.30pm or 5ish after work. I think JB's do food, at least they used to, there are plenty of dodgy bar's and food places to eat if anyone wants to, I can recommend the Lass O Gowrie next to JB's on Charles street (across from the old Factory Records offices), 2 for 1 meals I think.
I need to get an answer about camera's, I dont fancy having my digital camera taken off me, does anyone know if I'll get the thing in to the Apollo? I did in 98 for the secret gig at the Apollo, but I was right at the back at that time.
cant wait for tomorrow, no idea who all of you are, so this will be really weird, kinda like a blind date, and i'm shitting it, hope everyone is welcoming. This will be my 9th N.O. gig.
Matt.

I should be down to Joshua Brooks at around half five or six. Looking forward to another fine night! ![]()
Conor: I'm going to ring up the box office tomorrow and see what time I can pick the tickets up. I'll try to get them in hand before I head down to the pub, spare the queue later!
should anybody want a standing ticket for tomorrow, one of my mates can't go, so I have a spare........ drop me a line if you or one of your mates want it... Al
Well, the Norn Iron Order are off and running. Gonna smoke a fag, pop a couple of last minute items in the bag, and hit the railway station. I'll see all your worthless arses in JB's in 11.5 hours ish.
starting to feel really sorry for promising to wear shorts...took me 5 mins to get from sleepingroom to pissingroom this morning, cos I had to unfreeze my feet after eadh step, and contrary to commonly held mainland belief, we have carpets here (the first ones arrived last week :) )
So, ladies and gentlemen(well you know, there may be lurkers who come under those headings), at this point, even a world class gobshite like me, can only think of two things to say.
- Can't wait to meet all yee cunts :)
- NU ODDAH NU ODDAH NU ODDAH (repeat to fade)
i cant wait for tonight, but wrap up warm everyone, I am working on Whitworth st. and I can tell you today is a cold one! think about after the gig, brrrrr.
see you all in JB's after 5pm, be meeting you all for the first time, hope Ness has my ticket!
matt.
It's gonna be fookin ace, Corby Order hopefully in the Joshua Brookes fer 5ish. Already spoke to GaryMac, DigiMike & The Rocket this morning, if anyone's got a bit of a heart complaint or suffers from a nervous disposition, please STAY away from these three lads......they're all feckin mad!

As this will be my first meet up with the esteemed members of NOOL I thought I should post a recent photo for you all. I'm to the right, behind, in front of and to the left of Bernard and Peter. I think its known as doughnutting in Parliamentary circles.

You do know that picture is now in our random image above right? ;)
Thanks for submitting it quite a while ago...
Looked like it was bouncing downstairs. Upstairs the sound was poor. lots or speaker buzz and room noise.
Enjoyed it though. Nice to see they were as well rehearsed as usual :D
What was the webcast like?
Oh and I only got in the place as ACR were doing Wild Party so was gutted![]()
Just got home from the Apollo now...what a top gig!! It was my first time seeing NO live, and what an awesome performance it was. Perfect set list, great light show, band enjoying themselevs and on great form, and the fittest bird in the building dancing right in front of me!!
Absolutely top night!!!

and it was really nice meeting Ricardo, Al Jarvis and Hibster! ![]()
Just got back to Bath...
Strong Coffee on the way back... Can't sleep.![]()
Another Great gig, even better than Brixton? I was standing at the mixing desk & it definitely sounded better.
Except, what happened during Atmosphere? There was a loud bass drone all the way through it.
Did I see one of you NOOL's (Al J?) ask the woman on the mixing desk what it was? She appeared to shrug her shoulders.
& Phil appeared to be confused by his keyboard for a couple of songs.
Hooky was on fine form, strutting his stuff around the stage. Though I wish he wouldn't stand, legs akimbo, like Status Quo.:D
Hope you all had as good a time as I did. Cheers
Apologise for my language....but it was fucking awesome, for my first NO gig, will it be beaten !!! Hooky is one cool guy, got some good pics, if interested will put them on my site later.
I managed to catch Hookys drumstick.....but he told me to give it to the blonde next to me :( , BUT.......he personally threw his plectrum into my hands at the end of the encore, what a guy.
Thing is.....could they get any better than this.....shall I make it my last NO gig ?????
Paid the fiver to watch it on the net but their having problems apparently.... gonna try and save it and burn it to dvd...if anyone else manages to do it....I'd love a copy ![]()
ears are buzzin body knackered but a good night shug nice to meet you and your uncle and rocket mick and his brother whos name i cant remember at this moment thought it was a great gig, unfortunately got heavily stung trying to get rid of a couple of tickets
Can I just echo everybody's sentiments, fab gig. Regards to everyone I met in JB's and at the Apollo - Al, Rocket etc. Ed - where the hell did you disappear to?
