Must've had about a hundred conversations at the gigs recently about how embarassing it it talking to people and only knowing their online moniker. I used my own name for ages until some bloody Crwho? trainspotter starting calling me Clayhead, so I changed to shut him up. Now he's buggered off I'm back to the real world.

kinda handy using your real name. I got used to it in online racing where the inevitable 27 9 yrolds called "schummi" and "senna" got really dull. But I still only use it on important sites, elsewhere I am "thegoonden" (a mispelled Dr Who reference,may have used that here once when I'd lost me old pass or something), and occasionally "moonwatcher" (the rave going forefather of mankind).

In JB's I defaulted to NI directness by simply shouting "who the fuck are you" at everyone. Loved Mick's response....ten holes of 'em presented like a passport :) I don't think i even worked out half the real names. We need a rogues gallery up on here for meetups.....even do a little printer/PDA frienly version as a quick referrence guide....call it "olsen's standard book of world vikings" or something. "oooooh look, it says 'ere that's a Barnicus Armium".

either that or a badge with your nick and your real first name, but it would tend to make us look like a convention for the school spas's from around the world. Or just a small pic of your avatar glued on your forehead all night.
