I wouldn't mind seeing a mini smiths reuniopn, but i saw the roses in 88/89 & they couldnt improve on that

brown is sounding pretty good these days & his solo material is interesting, a different direction to where the roses would have gone i think

Different seller but ain't this generous

"In light of the spirit of this event £25 (approx. half the profits) from the sale of these tickets will be donated to a charity of your choice*"

Only £25 in his pocket and it's nowhere near sold out.

I would love to see both bands reunite. From what I've heard, Moz & Marr are on speaking terms again. Ian & John continue their on-going domestic.

The Roses might Surely there will be a mega money offer come in sooner or later and Ian Brown isnt that stupid.

The Smiths WONT. End of discussion.

This would be rather like Gilmour & Waters at Live 8. Can't see it though especially as Mozza has been quite succesful commercially with his own stuff these days.

Smiths is def no-no. Johhny Marr today (on his web-site) has said no-chance, which reinforces what he said in Dec's Uncut mag.

Aw well- suppose well av' to 'look forward' to another fun & interesting NOrder set-list eh :skeptic:

I just heard on BBC6 Music that Morrissey will play with Johnny Marr at MvC. Even though Johnny said he's not...could be interesting! :brow:

Yes, but the problem is morrissey disagrees with charity concerts, hency why the Smiths didnt play Live Aid. Plus, would Morrissey let his intense dislike of Rourke (and his outright hatred of Rourkes best mate, Mike Joyce) be put aside? Highly unlikely.

The Stone Roses were offered something in the region of a million each, last year to reunite. Ian Brown turned it down because he thought the band could never re-capture the magic they had back in the day, and thought it would be a bit of a sellout to get back together:shrug:

Never been able to get into them anyway.

I kinda agree with the 'no chance' for the Smiths, but hey, just a one-off shot, who knows !

Look at what happened to the Velvet Underground in '93. Since then, everything's possible!:eek3:
