was anyone at this around 1982..aint found anyone yet that was there. i think it was called ' daze of future past ' but it says futurama ?. i was certainly in a magic mushrooms haze !! . i was drunk when new order came on but recall them ending with EGG and leaving the backing track running for ages when they went off. them icicle works were good. southern death cult were on,did they later became the cult ? was anyone else there ?

they became the death cult & then the cult, yes.

mcnabb from the icicle works is still turning stuff out & puts on a pretty good live show these days

This was at the Deeside Leisure Centre Ice Rink, only about a mile from where I live. It's still there but they don't have gigs anymore, which is a shame as they had some great bands there in the early 80's, my teenage years...NO, Numan, Adam & The Ants, The Jam and tons more.

F***, there's a blast from the past! I used to buy tapes from EW back along - whatever happened to him? Didnt he share a flat with Nico or something?

EW wasn't one person, but two. One of them retired from the business (and no longer has anything to do with any of it) and the other retired from taping/market stalls but is still an active member of the NOOL community and regular gig goer (and top bloke as well).

Tim, this has intrigued me for a couple of days now.

I remember getting tape lists in A5 (I think) booklets from E.W., that was probably 82/83 and then getting to know iain from his days at Portobello on Saturday and Camden on Sunday.

Who is the guy from the early EW days? just give me his name, no-one is watching! and is Iain a New Order fan still? - are the original tapes still safe!?
