This is weird.....where did you get that? It rang a bell, so I called my brother and he said he's got one too. He can't remember where from, but he did say that as he never ever ever went past Coventry for a gig, it was either a Midland thing or the badges were available at various gigs around the UK? The badge is familiar, but then so is the Milkman.........memory has had it - so more info please!:)
The Royal Festival Hall gig , May 84 was a Miners Benefit gig. The picture is of the badge that was for the gig :D

weren't they the 1st band to do a miners benefit gig?
I suppose they had to have it at the RFH cos most other venues have an over-18 door policy?
No good giving a gig for minors if they're not even allowed to get in!

Ouch. Are you listening Mrs T?
Just to confirm, there were several Music For Miners gigs in 1984, at different venues across the country. The badge was not exclusive to the RFH gig.
Mike -you really found it down t'pit, the badge standing out in t'dark due to the immense light created by your Hawiain shirt ![]()

Mike, is the Hawaiian shirt exclusive to you, or are you expecting some more on 28th? :)
I know this one came up a a while ago, but it takes me a while to sort this stuff out - so for those interested here's my ticket and a cutting I took from NME at the time:

If images don't display, I'll have to revisit..
...seem to remember Keith Allen in a leather jockstrap, Life made up the numbers as usual, sorry AR!!
Cracking gig - imfamous 'M1' reference on early PK outing, and who sat down for first couple of numbers? ... and Decades.... and Hurt!
Memorable moments from this gig
"I have a c..k it looks like the M1" to the tune of Perfect Kiss.
They also played around with "Face Up".
Hooky "Why cant evrybody stand up? Is it only the fat bast**ds at the front who are allowed to stand up?" in reference to the security.
Also "this song is dedicated to all the fat bast**ds at the front!" - I think it was Age of Consent, memory is getting bad these days but it was another Hooky reference to the bullish security that night.
Quality gig! I have the bootleg somewhere
