maybe i'm wrong but i don't consider a lot these djing' sets..I don't think history will remind them as DJ but as good musicians. As i wrote on WIM they should better write good new songs instead ( or even stop:\ohwell: ) and start entertainer's career. But this is just my point of view and ,obviiously, u can think whatever u want about these clubbing non-events!:shades:

Are you sure Sumner and Le Bon are going to be there? The Black Cat schedule didn't mention them.

The quote in the first post was lifted directly from worldinmotion.net (and posted by David), so I'm presuming the promoter sent him the details, but yeah, the site and ticket site don't mention who actually will be appearing (as is often the case in these things)! :)

I just heard from Dave that only the DJ's would play their songs. Dang, just when I thought that I was going to have the best spring break ever. :\ohwell:

Hello everyone,

I need to correct any confusion about my night! This is a dance party set up as wrestling match between New Order vs Duran Duran. THIS IS A DJ NIGHT, THEY WILL NOT BE THERE! Sorry about that! We also have a Cure vs Smiths nights and Depeche Mode Parties. These are the largest nights on the east coast and maybe in the country other than LA. We usually get anywhere from 800 to 1000 people at these nights, so they are worth checking out!

Sorry for the mixup,

DJ Steve E P

I went to the two "Cure versus Smiths" nights they've had at the Black Cat. Both were a lot of fun and drew a great crowd. I remember dancing to "Just Like Heaven" with everyone around me singing along. When I saw they were doing one pitting New Order against Duran Duran, I couldn't help but cringe. It's not really much of a contest, now is it? Still, I may go to this. The problem is it's the very next night after the Pogues (with Shane!) play DC, and that might be too much excitement for one weekend.

Yeah I know. I couldn't believe it either, but it's true. They are playing NYC on St. Patrick's day - that's where I'd really love to see them.

Well, I originally wanted to say "Damn!". It's an American euphemism.
