Tickets now booked - opted for pick-up - would have been a lot cheaper than delivery anyhow (given the fact that Athens delivery is extortionate!)

Now, for hotels...

Looking like me and special helper may well be doing the Barcelona leg of this little adventure. Anyone looked into apartments yet?

Good question - haven't really looked at Madrid/Barcelona hotels yet...

Madrid - that's going to be a tricky one, as the airport is on the east side of Madrid, yet the festival is on the west side of Madrid (quite a distance)... And the flight on the Saturday morning is at 10am...

Hmmmm...

COMPARTO DOS ENTRADAS DEL SUMMERCASE, PUESTO QUE TODAVÍA NO SABEN SI VAN A VENDER ENTRADAS PARA UN SOLO DÍA. YO SÓLO PUEDO IR EL VIERNES EN MADRID. SERÁN 85/2 SI LAS COMPRAMOS ANTES DEL DÍA 15/05 Y 95/2, DESPUÉS.

OLVIDAD MI MENSAJE ANTERIOR, PORQUE VA A SER UNA PULSERA Y NO SE VA A PODER COMPARTIR.

Previous message (via Google translation tools) roughly translates to the non-purchasing of single day tickets, only two day tickets, and that ticket prices go up after 15th May to 95 Euros... I believe that the poster was offering to swap tickets for the other day for those who didn't want to see New Order in Madrid (i.e. day two in Madrid, when they would be in Barcelona), but then remembered that wristbands will be given, so this isn't possible! :)

nick, you are going to barca on friday, is that right?

HE TELEFONEADO A LA ORGANIZACIÓN Y VAN A ESTUDIAR VENDER ENTRADAS SOLO PARA UN DÍA (ESTÁ LLAMANDO MUCHA GENTE). PERO NO HAY NADA SEGURO... MI INGLÉS ES HORRIBLE, LO SIENTO.

Nope, off to Madrid first (arriving Thursday), then flying to Barca on the Saturday morning, and returning to London on the Sunday. :)

i'm still debating whether to go to the barcelona show and make a short holiday of it. easyjet is now roughly 115 quid or so. any idea what other carriers are charging for flights leaving the 13th and returning the 17th?

Not doing the Digital show on the 14th then Agent?

depends whether or not barcelona comes through. it's still tentative, depending on $$$$. there are plenty of places to stay that aren't booked yet, so i'm not worried about that. just hope the festival doesn't sell out before i make my decision!

if i don't go, i'll be at the digital gig! (it's in london, right?)

As in you can't read the print, or can't make sense of it?

Basically John booked flights through LastMinute.com, but didn't notice that the departure date was wrong until after clicking on the "confirm purchase" button. LastMinute.com wanted to charge him £45 admin fee, but he kicked up a fuss and they relented. Bit of a non-story really!

Yup, not really exclusive to Lastminute.com, either - all related websites/airlines/etc will charge an extortionate fee for ammending/cancelling bookings...

I remember when I (foolishly!) booked a return flight from Manchester to London via British Airways, rather than from London to Manchester... That cost me 50 quid!
