Hmmm, Jan 5 in Chicago looks good. Just hope the missus doesn't go into labour about then, due Jan 10. Maybes I'll bring her along to to get the little one rumbling in the womb to the bass god himself. :thumb:

Wait a minute... MONTREAL? :jawdrop:

Edit: Oh my f***g god.. I'm not sure I'll go there:

Known around Montreal as one of the most happening male gay bars in town, the Club Parking on Amherst Street invites you to park yourself in for a night of hardcore partying.

Of course I will go... but I'll bring my wife

I have no problem with gay people... but a whole bunch of them bouncing around me, that's something I might not be prepared to

Funny though, there are tons of places in Montreal, where this place I never heard of... oh well.

Never been to a bar where I couldn't stare at women before ;)

Ok, I'm about to ask a stupid question.... but what hapens when Hooky DJs? Is it normal club atmosphere with a well-known dj, or is there something more? Would want to go to the LA one, but want to know what I'm looking forward to and what to expect....

Ok, you can hit me with a bunch of rotten vegtables now.

WOW. This REALLY gives me something to think about. I'm currently 18, I just got a job, and I would definitely be able to save up a bit of money to fly down to Calgary to see Hooky. This is such a perfect oppurtunity too- Calgary is in the only Province that I'd be able to get into a club, Peter Hook or New Order rarely come to Canada and I wouldn't be in school and I'd be able to get off work.

Damn, my head is absolutely spinning right now. The whole experience of travelling down there would be incredible and something that I really, really do not want to miss.

But yeah, what's the whole club experience exactly all about, anyway? I'd hate to finally get down there only to get rejected by the bouncers for not being hip enough.

...Isn't that the word the kids are using these days? 'Hip'?

I'm in the same osition. What does the Hookster play? I heard about him playing Grace Jones' 'She's lost control' which is (a) the first ever JD cover and (b) appalling.

Hooky usually plays the same stuff each time, but he's also generous of his time, signing autographs and everything... so bring your gear to get signed.

Yes it's a normal club thing, except, at least in Chicago and New York, people are crowded near the DJ Booth...

So basically, it's an occasion to meet Hooky... more than listening to his DJ stuff ;)

i didnt read the rest of the posts.

Parking is perfect for Hooky.

DJ Mini has THE best electro night in these parts (which is when he is spinning); it's an awesome venue for a dj to play a mid-size crowd; awesome sound system; awesome crowd.

and spotter... Thursday is a mixed night, so you dont have to worry.

Holly S**t!!!!!!

He's coming to Calgary?!?!?!?!?

January 9, 2007 Hi-Fi Club Calgary, Alberta/CAN

Is anybody else going or am I going to have Hooky to myself?

Hey Jack, tell Hooky if he wants a home cooked meal, he can come over for Dinner. :p

I never herd of the Hi-Fi club so I'm going to have to look this one up. This is totally crazy.

Good to know... I'm trying to convince a few friends to come, especially Sebastien, after all, he did manage this website for 3 years, so hopefully he'll come to meet Hooky.

I missed him last time in Texas - for the most embarassing reason - my car broke down right a day before the gig. :(

I wish I could redeem it by seeing him somewhere in the southwest again.

Can't wait. Maybe he'll give us another listen to a new track. Though I really hope we hear some new stuff before then!

This is awesome! I saw him by accident at Smart Bar in Chicago last spring and it was probably one of the best nights at a club I have had. The best part about it is that it was on a tuesday night and there were only like 35 people there so it was really easy to get autographs and pictures and stuff. He played typical dance/techno stuff with some old punk tunes for fun. He ended with a 45 minute set of New Order related artists (NO,JD,Electronic,Monico,Chemical Brothers, etc) which was super cool. Everyone went nuts when Hooky's heavy base parts came on.
