Would've been rude not to do it.....

Two hour DJ set from Hooky with assistance from some speccy Glaswegian (if I can still stand up) at, Guru, 520 Sauchiehall Street on Thursday 19th October ie the second night of the two Glasgow shows.

Guru only opened last week and I'm involved in booking a few nights for them. This night is the second of our "Messy Sessions" events which also features a DJ set from the Trash Pussies (feat Peaches Geldof) a week on Sat and Sean Hughes on Tue 21st of November (took the lure of a ticket for the Celtic v Man U game that night to drag the lazy cnut up. No joke!).

The club's a cracking venue with four separate rooms and should provide the perfect after-party venue for all Vikings and their friends.

Entry is being kept down to a ridiculously low £5 a skull so on this basis I cannae really do a guest list, especially as the big guy's fee is quite a bit more than when I last booked him. That said, I reckon I could probably negotiate a special reduced "Viking Rate". Keep y'all posted.

Well, why do you think he booked him for the second night?!

Can't have any old riff-raff in his club. :uhoh:

Sadly won't be doing either of the Glasgow gigs now, sold tickets to GlasVegas, cancelled hotel and flight. Need to spend some quality time at home instead.

I've just recieved an E-mail stating:

Wednesday October 18th - Glasgow/19th Edinburgh Peter Hook Guest DJ (New Order) + Foxface + The Royal We (Live) In Glasgow we've got a beautiful new venue called the Classic Grand, Peter Hook from New Order will be DJing and two fantastic (and much hyped) Glasgow bands are playing. Expect Indie Pop. In Edinburgh we're at the fantastic Cabaret Voltaire! Peter Hook is only in Glasgow on the 18th! www.myspace.com/theclassicgrand www.myspace.com/theroyalweee www.myspace.com/foxfacemusic

Utter bollocks. Yes, Hooky is DJing in The Classic Grand on the Wednesday. He is not in Edinburgh on the Thursday. He is playing our night in Guru as advertised in the original post.

FAO Patrick Stewart Appreciation Society. Could you forward me that email? I've looked at the myspace's listed at the bottom but I can't work out whether the email has originated from the Classic Grand or one of the two-bob never-even-heard-of-them bands who are playing. I suspect the latter.
