After many years of waiting, I'm finally getting to see New Order for the first time at the Newcastle Gig. Clearly, I can't wait!!!!

However, my mate who is coming along with me is at uni on the afternoon and night of the gig. He's got a test to sit (bless him) so he's trying to leave it as close as possible to the start of the gig before doing a runner from Newcastle uni to get to the venue. I know that the doors open at seven, but any could anyone give me some idea when things will actually kick off? Cheers.

In '87 I managed to get from an exam at Newcastle Poly to a Norder gig at the Hacienda so a stroll across the toon shouldn't be any problem.

Top tip: Never go in at doors opening time it'll be a long boring wait.

Oddly enough, my boss was informed in no uncertain terms, that, if anything went wrong with my holiday requests, she could confidently expect me to suffer from severe bubonic plague on the 9th and 10th as well as from the 26th to 30th ;)

Thing is Dave, even a note from your mum doesn't get you out of your viking responsibilities :nod:

I've actually surpassed myself with Bournemouth and Newcastle. I've got both Night shifts off, without getting cover and also without actually taking any Annual Leave. :evil4: They are now on the management roster as Rest shifts. God, I'm good. :laugh:
